The New York Jets will be severely short-handed in their Week 7 game against the Minnesota Vikings as slot corner Buster Skrine has been ruled out, No.1 cornerback Trumaine Johnson is doubtful, and wide receiver Terrelle Pryor is also doubtful according to Rich Cimini of ESPN. Wideout Quincy Enunwa and safety Marcus Maye had aready been ruled out earlier in the week and running back Isaiah Crowell is listed as questionable, although it should be noted that Crowell suited up with the same designation last week and has never missed a regular season NFL game due to injury. Skrine and Johnson are the biggest concerns considering the potency of the Vikings passing offense. The 29-year-old Skrine has now been in the league's concussion protocol for two weeks and his longterm health has to be of paramount concern after suffering his fourth concussion in three years in Week 5. Johnson is battling a quad injury, has been unable to practice all week, and seems certain to miss his third consecutive game. There appears to be no timetable for his return. The Jets do not have a bye until Week 11 so it will be difficult to get healthy.
yeah but us down 2 CBs when luck went off with shit WRs doens't bode well when they have diggs and theilan and cousins chucking them the ball. looks like another shootout and hope we have enough healthy WRs to keep it going. I'm expecting a big game from anderson and herndon
Playing short handed at WR is what separates the men from the boys. Look what Luck did last week. If Sam can play well Sunday without Quincy & Pryor it will be another hurdle he clears as a rookie. The good QB's can make good with what players he's got. Looking forward to see how Sam responds to adversity. I'm expecting a big game from Kearse & Herndon. It's time for Robby to start playing a bit more of a possession receiver this week as well as a deep threat.
I'm more concerned about the WR's. Anderson and Kearse are the only healthy regulars. Roberts barely plays WR but he def will be in the rotation. Also Peake may get some offensive snaps. There will def be a lot of 2 TE looks, Herndon is fast enough to line up wide.
Thielen and Diggs are going to shred us to pieces. If we don’t force the timely turnovers we did last week, it’s not going to be pretty.
The Jets have to come out swinging if they want to have a puncher's chance. If they come out flat I'll be doing the punching. Unfortunately I'll have to settle for random strangers. Agree with Big Cat, turnovers or die. D is gonna have to come up big to compensate or we're doomed.
Where is Derrick Jones and Rashard Robinson? These were our preseason standouts and guys we know have the physical tools to be good. Nickerson has been struggling as to be expected, and we know Roberts is purely depth. Why are these guys not getting play? If you feel like you can't start these guys down 2 starting CBs when can you? 2nd thing, less Tomlinson, Sterling, and Leggett, more Herndon.
