Sounds like a great hire, when confirmed. Perhaps he fancies the challenge of developing our not so good O/Line.

Good thing we could literally start next year with an entire new offensive line if we wanted to. I definitely think we should keep 2-3 guys for continuity’s sake but I do think we need a road grader type of guy.

Beachum and Shell should be back. Winters and Long are under contract but have no dead money if cut. I for one would not be against replacing the entire interior of our line this year.

I'm open to replacing the entire left side. Beachum isn't a liability, but he's not a Franchise LT like Little could be.

Agreed. Shell and Beachum will be back but the Jets need to think about drafting Beachum's replacement so he's ready for 2020. I'd also like to see a center in the mix somewhere. Long is okay at guard, Winters is a hold waiting to happen, though.

Could steal away Trent Brown from the Patriots. He is a free agent, he is young, and he has done a great job since they moved him to Left Tackle. He is a massive ham sandwich of a lineman. 6'8 380

I would like that, Brady looked like he just picked up his jersey from the drycleaners after yesterdays game against Houston and Ford.

He'd be one of my top priorities.
Can play either tackle spot, and shouldn't be too crazy cost wise.

I wouldn't sign the free agent tackle from the Dolphins. Ja-Waun something... I understand the connection to Gase and the system but he strikes me as a guy that wants to be overpaid and then mail it in

    Gase is a Zone guy.

Pollack’s Scheme is basically what the Cowboys built for their O-Line.

It’s zone footwork and technique but the OL engages faster and stronger at the point of attack.

Only guy I see as a fit currently is Winters. He was built for this scheme physically but I think he gets cut.

That has as much to do with how quickly Brady gets the ball out of his hand as his Oline's blocking. Not saying I dislike Brown, but Brady being Brady is what makes that offense so good.

As meh as Winters is, I dont see the point in cutting him when the center and left guard are bigger priorities.

I'd rather keep him and Shell (cheap contract) and replace the rest if possible. Beachum is fine too if we don't draft a left tackle.

I think left guard and center are major concerns that need to be replaced immediately.

The problem lies in here is not really a suitable replacement this year. There is not a all world left tackle to take at 3 and the free agent class is good, but not great and not much of an upgrade.

Unless we move back drafting a tackle is passing on talent for need this draft.

It would be nice to have a center that can actually snap the football. That harrison guy was already a big improvement and I didn't really pay attention much to his blocking lol

He wasnt great but not a liability out there either. I am glad this unit didn't get Sam destroyed out there as the pass blocking was decent. The run blocking however was very bad and we need players who can block.

Paradis as a FA and Jenkins or Bradbury in the draft are my top C targets.

If we got a Center in FA, I'd be fine moving Long to LG.
Would also try to pick up Trent Brown to play T.

I'm fine with Winters and Shell for now.
    Need to draft depth.

I'm not giving anyone a pass but our line could look different performance wise by just replacing the liabilities rather than all of them. Often the better parts of a line look worse when trying to compensate for the weaker links.

Line needs two upgrades for sure.

    C and LG.

Next year we can grab a LT and see what happens with Winters/Shell.

Can fill all the holes in 1 year.

you don't think Long could fill either the C or LG spot?
