Trading back is easier said then done, especially in Rd 1, most teams don't want to move up in Rd 1, especially where the Jets will be drafting.
Hopefully we can strike gold with this year's pick, I'd be stoked if on defense we could draft another Vernon Gholston beast, or offense Blair Thomas 2.0.

This is a horrible draft to be picking fifth or sixth. No franchise LT, QBs are question marks, the top pass rusher will be gone, the top CBs are all different depending who you ask. I guess I'm saying we should draft a S.

I agree. When me and my friends talk about the Jets I keep saying forget the elite defense bullshit and make the offense great. I feel like it is so much easier to sustain a great offense as to sustaining a great defense

I would trade down. Next year will be a growing year for Hack. And irregardless of whether Bowles is at the helm of this Flying Dutchman of a Franchise, that will set us up for two good years of premium picks. Macc is at least a competant GM. Even he can make something out of that. Fuck, we should keep Bowles just to make sure this team sucks next season.
Draft is all fine and dandy, but if this coaching staff is taking them under their wings, I have no reason to even remotely consider the sliver of chances that these draftees would turn into anything half useful. I saw over the weekend, I believe Cimini say that the Jets won't get a compensation pick this year for Harrison because they signed Jenkins. The Jets released him in October. Wonder since they released him if it cancels the match with Harrison and if we could get the 4th round pick. Think its wishful thinking though. Was hoping for that extra pick. The Jets need as many as they could get.
