So what happens when Teddy plays at an All Pro level for the entire season?...

We gave up a second round pick for each f'n draft slot we moved up. bad move.

it's a good thing this team doesn't need a C / T / DE / OLB / TE / RB, in a draft with lots of options for all those positions..

Originally I was dead set against a trade up but after watching this off season unfold it truly is ALL about the QB this off season for the Jets.

They have NOTHING at QB two busts, a 39 Years old JAG and Bridgewater who IMO was as JAG before his injury coming off a serious injury.

The Jets had to do it and they didn't even have to give up a future #1 to do it.

    GREAT F'N TRADE, MACCAGNAN!!!!!!!!!?

Might being an operative word. If you wanted a QB you had to move up especially with Buffalo lurking offering the sun, moon and stars to move up themselves. I wasn't completely opposed to staying put and 'settling' for Chubb or the guard but if you wanted a QB and something close to resembling your pick you had to move up.

If you have seen the movie Draft Day this move makes sense.

Mac will draft Barkley or Chubb at # 3. Then he will convince the Browns to give him pick # 4 for our third round picks over the next three years. Then when Darnold falls to # 4 he will convince the Colts to give us all of our picks back plus a damned kick returner.

If Kevin Costner can do it how can it not work for Mac?

Yes, because we should base Mac's possible future 2nd round picks on other GM's failures.

The Bills will trade up ahead and pick the guy we gave up four picks for. We could of stayed at 6 got a top 3 QB and then a TE and OT or even pass rusher in the 2nd round. You give up that much he should start this year. Why sign two QB then? The Colts are laughing at us.

I don't hear a single Eagles wishing they didn't trade picks for Wentz. Fact is if he hits on the QB those second rounders will be long forgotten.

No you didn't....you could have taken one at 6, traded back and taken one, or taken one in the 2nd round

I find it hard to believe he only covets 3 of the QBs....and if its a different number than 3 he's a moron anyway for going to 3

I'm happy Macc is being proactive this time around. It certainly appears he's learned his lessons the hard way regarding drafting QB or using the tools available to move up and/or down position wise. This is also a 2-edged sword in that Macc's future here as GM, extension not withstanding, depends on if he actually does draft our FQB or whiffs. We all were praying Macc would make a move up and he did. Macc deserves all the kudos for this ballsy a move as his MO up until now has mostly been playing it safe.

One thing is for sure, no way in hell Macc drafts BPA-D after a move like this. Well Jetfans, that light at the end of the tunnel might not be a oncoming train afterall.. Dilly Dilly!

You can't please this fan base. If Mac sat there at 6 and the top 4 qb's were off the board we would have pitchforks out claiming he failed once again to solve the qb situation. We move up and complain that 3 2nd round picks is too high of a cost to pay.

I for one am happy Mac realizes that regardless of the talent he brings to this team if he fails to find a franchise qb the team will never go anywhere. Kudos to him for taking the risk to ensure we will get one of the top 4 qb's in this draft. I just pray Darnold or Rosen fall to three.

Are you kidding me? All that to move up 3 spots? One of those we'd was going to drop to 6 anyway . So that must mean we want someone really specific , but how do we know the Browns or Giants won't take that specific guy? We don't have a stacked roster , we needed those picks . Horrible
