He would be a real nice insurance policy. Paxton Lynch also getting waived. I'd stick with Webb if we get the shot.
I thought McBride and Luvu were locks. I dont understand why Hansen showed no improvement. Are players purposely trying to get let go knowing Belicheck loves turning our trash into treasures? Too farfetched?
Predictable. I mean its one thing that Mac doesnt want to move 2 1sts for a pass rusher, its another thing to cut what little pass rush we have. I dont understand the logic. I guess Mac and Bowles cant wait to get asked about the lack of pass rush week in and week out, get ready guys.
More like he loves gathering intell on our garbage & then TRYING to turn them into treasures.Other than Woodhead its never materialized.
I’m pretty baffled by the way we handled the last 24 hours. I don’t even mean the Mack trade, I’m perfectly fine with the way that played out. We cut at least three guys that clearly earned roster spots and then didn’t even bother to try anyone else out? Unacceptable. There were some pass rushers out there that you can’t tell me won’t be worth a look considering what we are going to be trotting out there. And I know there weren’t any starting OL out there but again, you’re going to tell me none of them have a shot at being better than what we have? Really bad 24 hours for this front office. There are a few things making me feel better around the league… We could have been a team that passed on the best quarterback in the draft for a running back to stick with our 37-year-old quarterback and then cut his back up. Also all you ever hear about is the Jets and Hackenberg… The Paxton lynch pick was so much worse.
This Daryl Slater guy for the NJ paper. I’ve seen him at camp and his video reports online. The guy wears the same clothes everyday. Also looks completely disheveled in person.
Other than Whitehead who already was good, how many of the large number of Jets claimed by BB did much of anything?
What exactly did Luvu do other than pick up 3 or 4 personal fouls. And he's on the PS right where he belongs
Of that group Luvu was the only one I thought might make it. McBride did not bring anything in special teams so he was always a very long shot, Walford didn’t really impress much. I don’t thank any of those were overly surprising.
Well considering we have 3 OLB on the roster I think it’s a little shocking that the guy that showed the most promise at the position didn’t make the roster... I understand McBride being cut I just think I would have cut ties with Stewart outright and kept McBride. I also understand why a GM wouldn’t do that. Walford was great as a blocking TE, thought we should have kept him over Thomas at FB.
Best prospect is relative. That he hardly performedperfo had so many penalties dinner say he needed to be on the roster. PS seems right
Lucky Whitehead. Return specialist. We have Andre Roberts though so no sense keeping Whitehead around
two people mentioned that New England only turned one of our ex players into a solid player they keep mentioning Whitehead the only guy I remember is Danny Woodhead.
Stewart is suspended and does not affect this 53. A decision will have to be made on him soon, but not now. Walford and Tomlinson kind fill the same role and I'm not shocked we didnt keep both. I'm a bit surprised at keeping Thomas though. His play as FB was nothing special.
