What if Allen goes first, the Giants take Chubb, and the Jets like Mayfield best? I bet there will ne teams willing to trade up for Darnold or Rosen.

I would love to trade back and get a few picks, but if we have a guy at three you can't trust anyone to say we won't take him or flip this pick to someone else and we don't get the guy. Love the idea but can't do it.

In theory I love the idea of trading back in such a scenario and hope your guy is still there but realistically you can't do that. Take your guy if he is there.

Yeah, Jets will not trade back after trading up.

Whoever we take, Mac can say that is who we were targeting at 3. As long as they are good, it is win-win.

I could understand being disappointed in passing on Rosen, but what has Darnold done to prove he is worthy of not being passed on? He was sort of a hot mess last year.

Did you watch any USC games last year?

I get it, he had less talent, but a lot of his turnovers are due to forcing the ball where it shouldn't go and fumbling. I do think he has a talented arm, good character/leadership, and is wicked at moving around and making something out of nothing, but his decision making is very concerning to me.

And yes, I watched some USC last year. Certainly not every game.

I just believe he's got the most upside of the top 4 qb prospects

You aren't alone in thinking that way at all. In fact, most would agree with you. I just am not sure I see a guy who can be a playmaker and protect the ball.

No, that will change nothing. I think the Jets will run to the podium and taken Rosen. I know many will disagree, but the Jets made the move to 3 because three QBs were evaluated and deemed preferable for the Jets, Rosen, Allen and Baker.....probably in that order.
We shall know soon enough who the Jets prefer based on the remaining board. I'm hoping and praying Darnold goes one and the Giants go Chubb. If that is the case, hold your breath till the third pick is made, and drink heavily before that.

Would love to drink heavily like the old Saturday draft day. This Thursday prime time crap is the WORST.

Lol. Leave it to Goodell and the NFL to mess up a good thing. I used to love to sit on a Saturday and watch the first three rounds. Great watching. Hey I got a great idea lets play Thursday games. Lets put players at more risk, water down the game and make it unwatchable. While we're at it lets make the great Color Rush uniforms. Only the NFL.

Can't emphasize how bad of a move this was for the fans. Goodell and the owners jumped at the opportunity to grab more money. That's the ONLY reason we have a Thursday draft. BS.

One of the best moments of the draft is every time that shmuck goes to the podium to announce the pick. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Another blatant example of Goodell not really giving two shits about the fans. He totally ignored the amount of fervor and love so many fans have for the draft, and the joy of sitting in front of the TV on their day off. But money talks and he frankly does not give two shits about all the loyal followers and the many season ticket holders. If he could make more for the NFL he would probably move the draft to the UK in the no so distant future.

Oh it's gonna happen. Have a gut feeling Rosen will be there and they still go with Mayfield.
