Jets haven't won a super bowl dating back to 1969 so i ask myself who am I kidding, other than myself? You all are right I've been nothing but an optimistic homer. Maybe I should wait until the Jets have at least an above .500 winning record before correcting others who post with frustration. This loss took a lot out of me as a fan. Seen us kill ourselves againt vs both Cincinnati and today against Kansas City. Down 14 inside the 10 & Fitzpatrick throws two INT's while Chan Gailey refused to run the ball. More than frustrating it's disheartening. With that said I apologize to those who I've called out or corrected regarding these players and coaches.
And we paid $12M for Fitzpatrick when there was no market. If our GM thinks he did not choke and cost us the playoffs last year then we are in a lot of trouble for a long time. Tomorrow morning they should tell Revis they want to renegotiate his contract like he did to us three times and tell him he is worth the league minimum. Give Petty a shot and pray a QB on another team gets hurt so we can trade Fitz.
Defense actually didn't play horrible. Only give up 17 points isn't bad by any means. Just a problem when we put the ball in Fitz's hands. They dared Fitz to make plays and he shit his pants.
And after paying 12 M for this piece of shit they won't dare make a QB change because it show to the world how incompetent the FO really is.
In 21 years of following this team I can't remember a worse performance by a QB and we have had some bad ones
Wow....3 int's on their side of the 50 and 2 in the end zone. This loss falls squarely on the QB. What a waste...you telling me Geno Smith couldn't throw 4 int's in a game and for 1/5th the cost? Insane. I've NEVER seen a QB with such Jekyll and Hyde tendencies in my life.
Defense only allowed 10 of the 24 points given up. 7 off the Marshall KR fumble returned for a TD and as I'm literally typing a Fitzpatrick pick 6 returned for another TD. 4 consecutive drives ending in a Fitzpatrick interception. Back to back to back to back INT's. Bench Fitzpatrick next game. Show some accountability Bowles. Give Geno a chance with this offense what's there to lose other than another season of no playoffs?
Have to be honest...I couldn't watch after the 3rd INT to Sorensen...Had to shut it down. I can only take so much disappointment in one day. Had the Jets game on the laptop and the Seattle/49'er game on the tube...Ummm....yeah, NEXT week is going to be an ass whuppin' too.
Defense gave up 10 points, both off turn-overs...7 after an interception, 3 after a non-existent fumble..t That being said the chiefs made the plays when they needed to
With how he threw today and Seattle next week, Fitz might be on a record setting two week run. Team looked completely demoralized today. Franchise is once again at crossroads at QB position - which has been the case for an eternity now.
