First off, fuck the Dolphins ... but a glimmer of hope ...

Brandon Shell had a good debut .... 0 pressures across 55 pass block snaps.... however I remember the strip sack during the game and I think that was on Shell. Regardless 1 pressure is solid, hopefully he can build on that ...

Maybe we found our next RT after all? Which means we only need a LT, C and some depth. Jets coaching staff was high on this guy, maybe he makes the jump next year?

As long as he's not protecting the blind side. Nearly ended Petty's season before it started during the preseason.

Looked to me like the pressure was all going through Winters. Why go around the RT, when you go inside?

Yeah... Keep Shell in front of Petty and not protecting his blindside. I doubt Petty survives a third blast thanks to an incompetent OLine.

Just one game so well see how he progresses. Can't be any worse then Brenonor Or Qvale though. He definitely decided to double Winters man and left Petty out to dry on that strip sack which turned the momentum of the game right now. Funny how this guy forgot this play..

Yeah people had to reply to him, he didn't know whose fault it was in terms of that strip sack. Or whose responsibility it was to cover that defender on that specific play. 1 pressure ain't too bad though, but hopefully he builds on it. He could be a decent RT. Jets need to focus on LT, at least we may have an answer for RT and both guard spots as I expect the Jets to retain Winters.

Yeah he's not a LT at the NFL level, he needs to be at RT.

Maybe he can consult with his uncle (?) and get some tips.. BTW, where was Shell during that preseason game that Petty got mashed the first time?

LT. Got beat like a drum then walked by a limp Petty on the ground without helping him up.

It's only 1 game, but we may have found our future RT. I was trying to watch Shell as much as possible during the game and I thought he did a nice job.

FWIW, Ijalana has no business playing LT and isn't even a starting caliber O-Lineman. I blame Jet's management, (mostly previous staff) for ignoring the O-Line for so long.

Oh yeah, he will def need to learn a thing or two about this game ... He was playing a lot on the left side early in TC / Preseason, I think he was at LT. He did good against Wake on Saturday, so hopefully he continues to improve.

Lets hope so. If he works out then thats a feather in Mac's cap.

His 2016 draft is a big question mark with the Hack pick, but of the 6 other picks in the draft he has two starters (Lee and Jenkins) two active players that look like they could stick (Burris and Peake) Lac Edwards who is a starter but sucks, and Shell. Better than Izdik...

I hope Mac doesn't ignore the line in this draft. Outside of Tunsil, Mac doesn't value drafting lineman at the top rounds. He has a point, as there are plenty of busts at the top.

I have high hopes for Shell at RT. Mac might have made a good move moving up for Shell, as someone mentioned. I had Shell as a early/mid Round 4 grade last year. I'm not as down as most people on Mac's drafts, we have some good young players, just not happy spending a 2nd rd pick on Hack, IMO, he would have been available in Rd 3.

I hope we don't draft a OT in Rd 1, because of right now the value doesn't exist at #6. We might have spend some money in FA for a LT for 2017. We might get a solid OT at the top of Rd 2, but he may need a little time to develop before starting.

I have my eye on a few centers I like for the Jets possibly in Rd 3.

I hope we go OT in Rd 1, and I hope it's because we traded way down.

Yeah there is absolutely no lineman at the top, heck the first round as a whole. Ramczyk is too inexperienced, Cam Robinson is overrated and Mike McGlinchey sounds safe, but isn't a world-beater by any means. These all look to be at the end of the first, early second. Jets have to get a few DBs, this draft is FULL of great prospects. This might be one of the better CB drafts in recent memory.

    Lattimore
Teez Tabor ---- off the field issues; but extremely talented.
    Desmond King
Jourdan Lewis ---- Buster Skrine replacement
    Sidney Jones

Man could you imagine getting 2 of those 5 corners? We 100% gotta get Desmond King on this team, get him in the 2nd, his effort is always top notch, great tackler, doesn't get all the INTs, but locks his man up. Can't wait for the Outback Bowl this year. Time to get your Mock out there WW! People will hate the idea, but we need to rebuild the secondary and the offensive line. Get an edge rusher somehow.

Lattimore is one of my favorite man to man press corners recently. He's a guy who can hang with anyone athletically and plays the ball extremely well.

He's a big dude, I wonder if he comes out. I wont be shocked if Jets go DB / LB in RD1 ... I think WW will mock a certain Alabama LB to the Jets ... and his name is not Tim Williams.

Brandon shell was a fat, useless shitbag in his 1st training camp. I STRONGLY doubt the Jets wll ver be ale to trust h I m as a starting RT. He'll always be depth at best.
