Congrats on getting everything up and running again, I've cruised this board for a while, and I know what it's like to have a board that you're used to. For the ones who were over at JI when this board was down, it was good having your input while you were there.
Hah, you're ditching too? I'll be finished with Rutgers after this semester. Not because I'm graduating, because I decided I'm finished
The RU Screw kept me there for 6 years. Of course, I was working a lot too, but it took me forever. Damn engineering school and their 132 credits! I went to the RU/USF basketball game last sunday, which was a blowout. I think I may buy season football tix next season.
The engineering school here is no joke, I know I have roommates and several friends who are engineers. It's a pain in the neck when they're here majoring in it, but when it's done I get so jealous of seeing them getting jobs that start at 50-60 grand a year entry level. We had a big win against St Johns today, hopefully we can pull a few wins in the Big East tourney and MAYBE squeeze out an invite to the dance. It's a long shot, but if we won 20 games it's a possibility. Hey, there's always hope.
09 woooh. WOOOH. YES. WOOH. As just an ignorant freshman, I've yet to get hit by this legendary screw. Though, I understand that it's coming, and I accept it. As for the Basketball team, they'd have to get to the BE title game and give whoever they play a hell of a battle to even have a committee member bring them up.
I graduated from Rutgers last May, also from the engineering school. The RU screw definitely sucks, but let me tell you, working is not that much fun either. Enjoy your college days while you can. btw, 51K starting is pretty nice.
Class of '92 here. Back when the teams pretty much sucked other then soccer and the ocassional basketball team. Though we did beat UNLV at the RAC while I was there.
I don't go to Rutgers (I go to DeVry) but I just bought a house with some of my friends over on Hamilton, right by all the frat and sorority houses. For those of you who go there, what should I expect of the locals?
The New/North brunswick area sucks ass. I went to devry off of Rt.1 and had a bunch of friends who went to RU. Any place were the bars close at 2am sucks a fat one.
The mens team needs to get to the big east title game and give a hell of a performance in it to get an NCAA tourney committee member bring them up as a longshot possibility.
