WHY IS ANYONE TALKING ABOUT PEYTON MANNING?! He's an inbred who passes and looks like Charles II of Spain.
It was meant as a play on words. If you read the article, Gase yelled those words to Ross in a meeting they had about the Dolphins direction as a team. Personally I would have fired him on the spot if I were the owner. With the exception of Gase bringing a 4-3 defense to the Jets, I’m not a fan of this guy possibly being signed as Jets HC, so I’m hoping he yelled at Johnson the way he yelled at Ross, that the owner knew nothing about football.
I hadn't read the article but I was also playing with words Having Gase scream at CJ "I don't know football" we can hope as he sounds a bloody awful choice and shouldn't have even been invited through the door, shudders at the thought they are going to cock this up once again.
Unbelievable that he was even interviewed considering the weird owner-coach-gm love triangle we've got going.
The guy is going into the NFL HOF, The Papa Johns HOF and the Nationwide Insurance HOF. He is the "Renaissance" man of the pre-social media, TV generation. They will be teaching courses about Payton Manning at Harvard in another generation.
I think Gase is a good coach. He has a really good history developing QB's. Tannehill is just such a dog. I think a smart QB with a high football IQ like Darnold might be a good match for Gase.
This is just the kind of shit teams put out to justify firing the head coach, I'm sure Tanenbaum had nothing to do with all the bad moves the team made. If your owner has the kind of input on football moves this is suggesting, that would seem to be more of a problem than the coach wanting more input on the roster.
Ross is basically Dan Snyder after Henry Higgins ran him through the "My fair Lady" finishing school.
Sam Darnold would LOVE to play for Adam Gase no doubt in my mind about that. I can't believe they're considering McCarthy after the way it ended for him in Green Bay. Feuding with Rodgers/franchise QB. Any word on how Gase's interview went?
Give him the job of QB coach then, we need a HC most of all and then he can appoint all these other coaching guru's to get the best out of our players.
If our top 4 options are McCarthy Caldwell Gase and Eric B from Kansas City I cant really complain about any of them
Regarding McCarthy/Rodgers we need to consider the source. Rodgers is a great QB, but there's something totally not right with him personally -- he has a difficult personality it's the reason he slid in the draft, has issues with his family, Munn, etc. Not saying we should dismiss the rift that happened as much as that there may be two sides to the story
