Yeahreally. Another non-move by the FO that would have greatly relieved stress in the draft. And Jackson would have given the Jets a true #1 wideout, allowing their investment in Decker to be more fruitful as well.
He left the Redskins park but shortly after it was stated that they are officially beginning negotiations. 9ers are only willing to participate if he lowers his price, though they are very interested. No word on Browns outside of being very interested, people are giving them credit for their offseason while ignoring that they payed Witner more than Ward got, despite being older and worse at every part of the position, and basically traded D'Qwell Jackson for Dansby. Don't put anything past them. I could see them paying DJax more than he was getting from the Eagles at this point.
Honestly, I don't even mind not signing him. The only move, or lack of, that I have a serious qualm about thus far in the offseason is the lack of acquisition of a legit #1 cornerback. Hopefully John "Stonewall" Idzik has a trick or two up his sleeve. Draft best available WR in either round 1 or 2 depending on who is available
good, not new england or mia, and not in the afc. we won't see them at all this year, it'll be fun watching them play against the eagles
And this thread shall be locked by the morning... Going WR 1st Round is key for us, plain and simple.
Agreed. Barring major injury, you can pretty much pencil Denver, NE, SF, and Seattle in the conference title games.
I don't know if DeSean "ignored" teams with more cap room, Was was probably just the only team with a dumb enough owner to pull the trigger and pay DeSean close to what he wanted. We'll see, but this has classic Dan Snyder move written all over it.
