The following two articles give me a lot of hope that his throwing motion won't be the issue that several scouts indicated it would be. https://www.ganggreennation.com/201...ing-technology-to-improve-his-throwing-motion Within the article there's a tweet/video, but I couldn't figure how to embed or copy/paste here, but here's a link to it: https://www.ganggreennation.com/201...ing-technology-to-improve-his-throwing-motion Here's the other article the above article refers to. https://pro32.ap.org/article/jets-darnold-using-high-tech-training-could-help-qbs
Good articles, but after watching video of Darnold, I'm not as concerned as I was before the draft. I think he'll adjust in whatever way he needs to. He reminds me of Elway, and more recently Favre, and Mahomes, able to make something out of nothing. He's going to have to learn how to make something out of a clean pocket and clean play - he can't play "fire drill" every play - but that shouldn't be a problem. I still believe that Rosen could've worked out here, but I now believe that Darnold was the better choice (There! Happy now Joe?).
What’s the difference between spin rate and spiral efficiency? Is it just wobble? Because I would assume spin rate plus velocity would tell you all you needed to know.
“I think there are points where people get too fixated on mechanics. Not every player is going to have perfect mechanics. If you start changing too much, it can make the player do things that aren’t natural and reduce performance.“ Yup. He has so much to think about already. You know he’s hearing all kinds of shit about honing his motion. He can’t help but think about this too. Just another reason I wish they wouldn’t rush him.
Maybe this will make people feel better about Darnold's mechanics http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-netwo...old-showcases-an-incredibly-explosive-release
Sam is one of the most naturally efficient throwers I’ve seen in the past 5-6 years. Maybe Marcus was a more natural thrower but Darnold is just so fluid in his ability to hit tight windows on the move.
It won't be. He still gets the ball out quickly and he still has great natural accuracy, at 20(!!) with that motion As long as it works it shouldn't be overhauled. You basically have Philip Rives shotputting the damn ball. Works for him. Kosar was unconventional. Kurt Warner side armed it some of the time. So did Gannon
I'm wondering why you have sensors, or ANY electronics, on your private parts..... then again, maybe I shouldn't ask. BTW, 9 out of 10 doctors agree: if your cock beeps call your PCP.
I might be wrong, but wasn't Malone the guy with the perfect mechanics. He looked like Adonis behind center. There is more to be said about the criticality of accurate placement than perfect mechanics.
I've clicked that link probably 20 times and it does nothing. Do you have an alternate URL? And no, I have had no problems with other NFLN links.
This it? http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-netwo...old-showcases-an-incredibly-explosive-release I love the Darnold pick, and Trent Dilfer doesn't do much for my outlook anyway so you're not missing much. Not sure if that's the same link tho Remember, all the scouts that love this dude all saw him up close also. Seeing him on video is not the same as seeing him up close and most of those scout guys will say that. But even on video Darnold has impressive virtues as a beasty looking athlete.
LMFAO! How dare I make such a suggestion when it is clear you've discovered something I need to get in on. Everyone should have their own joy buzzer. But do I dare ask when these are plugged into?
Finally got the fricking thing to play and I'm all in. His skillset, it's something we haven't seen on this team. Holy shit.
BTW, twown is the darkhorse for best poster this year. I can't believe the dude escaped me. Fuck you twown
