Brian CostelloVerified account@BrianCoz The Jets were awarded one compensatory pick in the 2017 Draft. It is in the 3rd round
Excellent to get an extra 3rd rounder. Theres some exciting CB/TE guys that can be had with value there.
Great news. Most felt a 4th if any. Due to an in season cut of a signing. Mac mentioned it very early that the team felt we would get one. A sign that they don't always have their head up their ass. Also shows the need to have an organization buy in to a rebuild and not sign stop gaps. By biting the bitter pill, Clev gained a third, two fourths and a fifth. Later, I think you really need to map out your contracts and almost make free agency an every other year venture as a way to get picks once you are more successful.
Yes. Players lost offset by players signed and value of contracts also comes into play. If we hadn't cut Jarvis Jenkins midseason before a deadline, he would have offset Snacks and we would not have gotten any pick.
I'm surprised the Jets received a 3rd round pick. With this pick, there should still be some good CBs and o-linemen on the board.
It works out to the 107th pick. That means there is plenty of value at this pick. Don't trade it away! Now we just have to wait and see if any free agents are picked up before the draft. That could change the draft board for Macc. That will make the #6 pick more important.
It's a Feztivus miracle. We actually got a third rounder! I still do not like thr compensatory picks and the related policy but I will take the pick.
Better than the projected 4th round pick we expected. Should hopefully give Mac a chance to add a decent player. God knows we need it
Great news, sucks thats it all the way at the bottom but this is good for draft positioning having that last pick on Day 2 could be trade bait for a team wanting to avoid losing a guy they like on Day 3
