Fits their mold to a tee. What are the chances he doesn't turn into the next great thing?

I count the days until Christian Mccaffrey is traded to NE for a 1st round pick.

That's pretty funny. Have any of these supposed genius signing by BB ever worked, other than Woodhead?

To be fair, did anyone besides a few paranoid Jets fans say that claiming CHAD HANSEN was a genius move?

Had the Patriots kept Hansen that would have been scary.

Claiming players who have been waived is a common NFL thing and very often they don't work out.

This is especially true if the team has a good record because waiver priority is based on how bad you were the year before. So teams like the Patriots pick from the bottom and have a very small chance of getting something good.

When you consider how many teams could have picked Woodhead that was an amazing signing. It is very difficult or almost impossible for a team with a good record to claim a good player from waivers since the priority of waiver picks is like drafting. The teams with the worst record from the year before get the 1st choice. So in the case of the Patriots, 30 other teams other than the Eagles ignored Hansen. The Jets had the 6th choice for example and would access to better players.
