so you guys are agreeing with NC whatever his name is that youre all upset because Macc hasnt filled all the whole BEFORE the draft? Do you know how many holes we have/had? Are you going to be upset when we dont win the Superbowl this year too?

If he was at Rosens pro day then I'm sure he is done with FA, it is what it is.

Let's see what the draft brings!

It's my understanding the Jets offer 4M per. He settled for 5M per + small incentives + no state tax in FL. Considering no other team wanted him after he drank himself out of the league, one would have thought he might have a FRACTION of loyalty to the Jets.. guess not.
No hard feelings here, just a little disappointing on both ends(jets and jenkins). There are 6-8 Quality TE's in the draft.. if one if there 5th rd.. go for it. Not sure Leggett is a viable option. McCown likes/loves TE's. He made Gary Barnidge an All Pro for a season and Jenkins got 50ish receptions with McCown... so he likes the dump downs. Is Leggett that guy? I'm just an armchair GM.

There isn't a move Mac could make where he shouldn't be "fired on the spot" according to the board. lol. And there's gonna be like 20 dudes who will "be done with the Jets as fans" lol.

ASJ was OK for us but I don't feel we're missing too much without him

Sterling and Leggett can probably equal his production...also Enunwa figures to play some H-back

We can also pickup/trade or draft for a TE

If ASJ was as good as some people here think he would have been offered a much better contract by someone

Well for one it seems like Eric Tomlinson was loved by the staff last year so I'm sure he's coming back since he was a good blocker. With more emphasis on the run game, the Jets may want a TE who can do both. Nick Sterling got a bit of run so they may see potential with his athleticism and he showed a bit of promise as a blocker. Add in Leggett and that maybe the 3 TE's on the roster. They may draft a guy but IMO it may not be as high on the radar. A guy like Gesecki can't block at all...He's more like an Ertz who's a big bodied guy who doesn't block much at all.

I'm fine with this, but now the Jets have a serious problem at TE. TE just became a top priority along with every other position on the team.

Oh good, nice to know that every position is a top priority.

What the hell does that even mean?

1/2 his games are played in FL so he saves 12% or so NJ tax on 1/2 of his salary (2,500,000). He saves around 300k.

He was good at blocking to ......He was a first round talent coming out of college who fell to round 2 due to charecter issues or was it round 3 I don't remember.Either way Mac is a fucking idiot for doing this....Instead he overpays Namdi Asoumougha Jr a big contract.

Not possible....Mac is looking very shaky .We haven't had a good Tight End since Keller and Mac let's him walk.Mac seems to let everyone walk say hello to Damon Harrison for me and pass me that Wilkerson contract he wasted big money on ...

And they still haven’t had a good TE since Keller and they wouldn’t have if the signed the very average at best ASJ either.
