It came to my attention that abuse of people with low post counts is getting out of hand. If someone has less posts than you, it does NOT automatically make them less knowledgeable. Please, respect your fellow board members regardless of how long they have been on this board. Thank you P.S. Meanwhile, I removed post counts from user profiles altogether.
.........just j/k here but you might as well remove the join date too, since I'm sure that'll be the next logical thing that'll come up with the insults.
Wow, this no post count thing is crazy. I suddenly feel an urge to start agreeing with jetsfan129032032.
That is great, I was tired of post whores making a little post on every thread just to boost their counts to make themselves feel important.
i thought it might of been just me when i first started and all after a while i just took it as a rookie initiation type of thing and just said if it dont apply let it fly.
To be honest w/ you I don't even notice post counts unless I see something completely useless posted. Then I look.
even i did a double take when i noticed a few posters mentioning that i didn't post enough....... jil
Very nice move. Post counts don't mean anything other than that the person is a regular on the board. We mostly recognize the regulars anyway and always catch the drive-by trolls.
Hmmm...this messes up my ambitious post every 100 posts. Maybe this can give me the excuse to retire from doing those. It stresses me out when I start to get in the 90s. DbJ
damnit! i was so close to 3,000!!!!! haha, j/k, all the regulars know eachother, so this shouldnt change things much
well...you don't post enough. I notice you don't because I think you are a valuable member of the board.
Well, this may have in part been my fault fellas, because here's what I posted to Champ just this morning on the subject of the new stadium: "Hi Champ, Take a look at the number of posts and you have your answer. This poster posts as if this is a new topic, something up for debate that still requires a decision." If I'm to blame for putting it over the top, so be it. But my intent here was not to belittle or "abuse" this new poster. I was merely pointing out that with so few posts on the board, he was not here when the initial debate on the new stadium was in full swing. Anyone looking at many of my posts will see that I've treated most newer posters with a lot of respect, sometimes particularly so because they are new to the board. But, I apologize to the board if my reply to Champ was the straw that broke the camel's back. Be that as it may, I believe anyone with a propensity for abusing newer posters will probably still focus on start-up dates as a means of target identification.
Dude, I'm relatively new and don't post too often, and you always come off fine and respectful to me. Don't worry about it. Seriously, if someone cares that much about a post count, they shouldn't be on a board where knowledgeable members should be the desire rather than people who like to up their post count without adding anything to the conversation.
