I'm going to say we open the season on the road vs the Cleveland Browns. Todd Bowles vs Hugh Jackson....Bradley Chubb and Myles Garrett could be teammates. How scary would that be for Josh McRosenwater? The Browns are sorely due for their 2nd win entering Hugh Jackson's 3rd season. The new additions of Tyrod Taylor, Jarvis Landy, and Carlos Hyde will make them much more dangerous offensively. On the other hand if our beloved Jets absolutely destroy the Browns, perhaps it results in 1 win and 32 losses Hugh finally gets fired. Funny things is, we will likely have 4 ex-Browns playing significant snaps for the Jets on both sides of the ball : Pryor, Crowell, McCown, and Skrine.
Wow, they don't do any traveling west this year, which they usually suck at. The furthest they go is Chicago and Tennessee. Nice
Even if we played in Cleveland Week 1 and even if we blew them out, Jackson isn't get fired after one game. He's being given at least this year and probably next year with this new regime. For who I would guess we play Week 1: I'll go with a road game in Chicago. Mitchell Trubisky vs. Josh Rosen or Josh McCown. The Regular Season schedule will be officially released on April 17, 18 or 19. The Preseason schedule, but with little to no exact dates, will be out next week.
That's gonna be a tough home schedule, at least as things stand right now. Who knows how it actually goes down but all those out of division games will be tough.
Last year we opened on the road at Buffalo so I will guess this year at home vs the Colts. I wonder if the one primetime game the Jets get will be Thursday against the Bills for the 4th straight season. Seems like the NFL is developing a Thursday night tradition between these 2 teams.
I'm guessing our 1st game of the season will be against the Patriots. On the road @ N.E in Foxboro too.
I really don't care where the first game of the season is. I want to see a team that fights hard and improves from week to week, hopefully finishing with more than 5 wins. And maybe our rookie QB has something to build on for 2019.
Let’s play a reward game for the Jets schedule. $50 for winner who predicts first 3 teams Jets will Play. Home/Away doesn’t matter. If more than 1 winner than $25 for each winner. Or Predict first 2 Jet games with the correct home/away designation and win $50. If more than 1 winner then each winner gets $25. Which option you guys prefer?
