I posted during the 2011-2012 season on TGG that either Harden or Ibaka was going to have to leave. I thought it was pretty obvious, because OKC was unwilling to go over the cap (the other good one I had was when Knicks fans were defending the Amar'e signing and I pointed out the myriad reasons it was foolish). Harden's demands were higher than Ibaka's, so he was the one to go. It did not surprise me at all. OKC had no leverage and thus got less than some might've thought because the entire NBA knew OKC had to deal Harden. Either then or after that season ended. You did not predict it on TGG, and now you are actually making a different prediction, and I think you'll be wrong.
Most of my predictions dont get posted on TGG, like the Russel Wilson one was posted on another forum, as was this Harden thing. And yes it was blatantly obvious at the time that the Thunder had to choose between Ibaka and Harden, when they gave Ibaka the money I KNEW Harden was gone. Despite that though, everyone was saying that no chance they would trade him. If the Thunder are serious about retaining Brooks, then next season he has to have his team in the finals, if not winning it. Other wise I see them parting ways after next season, 2016 is Durants last year under contract so its possible they bring in a different coach to prevent him from leaving by having success.

They should run the 2 PG setup like Phoenix. The bench goes to shit, but they should look to acquire Vets that can come off the bench and produce. They should look to get Pau Gasol - a legitimate low post-threat that can pass. Along with another shooter like Jodie Meeks. Hell they can have Jameer Nelson from the Magic for their draft pick.
Im beginning to think it just cannot work with Durant and Westbrook. I think the Thunder would be better having a PG like Rondo, because having Westbrook is only damaging Durants potential each game. I think Westbrook can win a title in the right system to but I dont think these guys can play together. Westbrook takes to many shots, even when Durant has a much better look.
