Is this chosen by fans or a media panel? If by fans, Jets have a ton of fans in NY area. Small market teams not much aside from marquee teams like Packers, Cowboys, Steelers etc. Who cares for Cardinals or Titans anyway? Hence my above question.
I am not sure how other rookies did, but I thought Zach had a really good game, even in the second half. 3 TDs for a rookie QB is nothing to sneeze at, even with a pick. Plus a lot of drops by others and several PI that should have been called. Not bad for a rookie.

It's not like it's the ROTY Award, or being named All Pro, but it is recognition that he's doing well for a rookie, especially playing the hardest position in football (and perhaps all of sports). I'm sure he won't let it go to his head, but I'm also sure it will be a nice boost to counter all the shit some impatient fans have thrown at him. Congrats Zach! Now keep building on it!
Love to see him get recognized but let’s get real, it’s voted on by the fans… it’s a popularity contest.
Still, it's good to see that MOST Jets fans support him, which might be surprising to those who frequent this forum.
Maybe, but the point is he did have a good game, he did score 3 TDs, which is not an easy thing to do, and fans or whoever voted see that as well. Some say this performance was even better than the Titans, and looks like a lot of folks agree it is at least similarly good.
