Is this the top five for us or just in the draft?

I mean, we technically could trade to the first pick overall if we wanted to, so that makes any player a possibility.

Nothing to do with the Jets...or where a player will be drafted.

It's just... "Your opinion" of the top 5 can't miss prospects, not who you think the Jets will draft.

Ok, so here's my qualifier on this. These are the guys I think have the least chance of busting out of the NFL within 5 years. The safest picks. I'm removing the injury chance from the equation because anybody can get hurt.

    1. Jake Matthews
    2. Taylor Lewan
    3. C.J. Mosely
    4. Khalil Mack
    5. Justin Gilbert

All 5 are seniors with at least 3 seasons of superior play as a starter. All 5 are at least 22 years old entering the 2014 season. All except for Mack played at top-tier schools and faced tough competition each season. Mack started all 4 years at Buffalo and showed a high level of play that got better each season.

If I had to drop one from the list it would be Mack because he just didn't play against the best and the others did.

Now I know you have gone off the deep end :) You even said yourself Benjamin was a risk worth taking for his upside. You can't have it both ways, a can't miss player isn't a risk.

I'm surprised more people haven't said Jake Matthews, with his bloodline he's one of the safest picks in this draft.

I thought about him based on his bloodlines alone, but I really haven't paid much attention to him since I figured the Jets had zero chance of getting him. I just focused on players I had watched video on.

You didn't mention the Matthews that were that were Pro Bowl Players. I'd take Bloodlines and great work ethic of the Matthew's family any day. Jake is one of the safest picks in this draft.
