I just traded Jay Cutler (my #2 behind Favre in a 1 QB league with Matt Cassel on my bench already) and Edgerrin James (with goalline carries in Az going to rookie Tim Hightower) for Steven Jackson and Jon Kitna.

If Cutler were a part of my plans, I would think I came out behind. But since RB is a strong need area for me (I just dumped the Jets defense for RB Piere Thomas and put him in at #2 RB this week, if that tells you anything) and Cutler would only be starting for me maybe 3-4 weeks this season, if that, I think I did good.

I think Cutler is a little better than Kitna and Steven Jackson is a little better than Edge (they both kinda suck now unless StL can turn it around).

With RBs being your need, I'd say you got the upper hand in that trade. The "experts" would say you screwed him but I'm not high on SteveJak.

He had a hard-on for his guy, Cutler. He offered me anybody on his roster for Cutler, so I took his #1. I threw in James for Kitna so we both wouldn't have to replace spots on the roster with free agents.

I think Cutler is the best player of those 4.

Do you have AP? I dunno I'd hang onto Chester, Vikes showed they can't pass so hell have to spell AP a lot

Does it matter? I guess I'd go with Slaton of those 3.

Calvin Johnson and Cotchery are a wash and Addai is much better than Felix Jones or Ronnie Brown (or them combined) so I wouldn't do that trade.

You have a high opinion of Slaton, then? I ask because I drafted him in both of my leagues, but have yet to use him. I drafted AP in middle rounds in all leagues last year, I was hoping for lightning in a bottle again.

No, I don't have a high opinion of him. I just like him better than Chester Taylor and Deuce McAllister, neither of whom I see doing much.

If you want the lightning in a bottle type of guy then see if you can get Tim Hightower or Pierre Thomas. Of potentially available RBs, I like Sammy Morris best right now.

Royal. I wouldn't even think of starting a Raider for the AT LEAST the first month of the season.

Yes, I would start Pierre over that duo.

I would start Royal over Curry.

Yes, I think Bo Scaife is better than Crumpler but I also think you'd be better off with Fasano, Rosario or McMichael (in that order) if you need a plug-in TE. Crumpler sucks donkey balls.

    Keeper League:

I traded Philip Rivers (I have Tony Romo) and Selvin Young (Can never be too sure about Denver Backs) for Tom Brady and Ernest Graham

My other RBs include: Matt Forte, DMac, Leon, Ray Rice

Hiker...I think Cutler is the best of all those guys, but Burt and Kitna won't be much of a dropoff...considering your need, ya done good.

bradyfagshirtguy...I'd keep Chester Taylor...there were times last season that I started him alongside AP...and Minny can't pass.

dBlitzer...you are hurting at RB...Graham is a bona fide starter for the entire year...good move, but have you heard about Brady's MCL and ACL? You could be sitting on him for a year or two.

I like the trade. Rivers sucks and you don't need him since you have Romo. Earnest Graham is a big upgrade over Selvin Young. And, regardless of Brady's timetable, he's worth a bench spot in a keeper league, especially if you have an injured reserve slot.

^Yep, my league has 2 IR spots. I know that im thin at RBs but i have a good feeling about Forte and Dmac. Well see if how the season goes. If anything i will just going to keep my eye on the waivers to see any sleepers
