Remember that day when we drafted him? What are your opinions now of him? Have they changed? Was it a successful Rookie Year for Sanchez in your opinion? What does he have to do next to get to the next level and become a big time play-maker in this offense?

When we first drafted him I was a little iffy, everyone knew we needed a QB and Sanchez was our guy, granted I wanted to wait on a QB or bring a veteran in instead of going for Sanchez right away, but this move paid dividends for us. I'm glad he went through his "Rookie Wall" and he now already in his first season had command of the huddle, he has the leadership qualities and he HATES losing, he'll do anything for the team to win and I can't see him ever being a distraction (ala Jay Cutler)

What I have noticed is that he's a gunslinger but with a safety first mentality but I don't think we've had a guy with such great touch and accuracy on the ball especially on a deep ball like Sanchez in a very long time, with the weapons around him I can see him definitely working with these guys ALL of off-season developing more chemistry and continuing to improve, he does need a slot receiver but that will come in the draft, with that said i'm extremely happy with this acquisition, and in the playoffs he proved that the big stage won't affect him. I look back on the other young QBs (such as Flacco, Ryan, etc) and Honestly going into next season he will be a better QB then Flacco. I remember the comparisons with the whole Chad Pennington PLUS and I agree fully, only 1 TO in the playoffs says a lot about his improvement, and every game he's learned something and used it towards the next game

With all that said, Next Season my prediction is he will cut down on his INTs by at least 50% and learn to become much more accurate and making reads
As long as we have an offense line to protect him, Sanchez will be the next great QB in this league.

Out of all the play-makers this guy has, I feel that him and Keller have the best chemistry Potential wise, he's been so reliable in the goal-line, these two will be a pair for the ages, Granted Braylon and Cotch (who will also have great Chemistry) are legit players but I'm really liking the Keller and Sanchez pair

Lets Hope we improve and take the next step, Season 2 of these guys will be a far tougher challenge
I can proudly say that I WILL BUY A SANCHEZ JERSEY to go a long with my Revis jersey, I wanted to see how he did first

    Short Answer:

I'm happy and I think he has a chance to become a elite QB. He has the arm, the work ethic, and the pieces in place. We just have to wait and see now.

I'm very excited about his future and this current roster in general.

I'll admit, I was worried for a while. He always showed glimpses, but he made some incredibly stupid decisions throughout the season.

But I have no worries about him now. I don't think he's going to be a good QB; I think he'll be an elite one. I just think he's a big game guy. He can stand up and take a hit in the pocket (as he showed yesterday) and can also move around and make plays. His accuracy and decision making have improved tremendously. His great play is the only reason I'm not that angry today.

I think we'll see a big year from him in 2010 (and hopefully stretching out into 2011). Another offseason with Braylon, Cotch, Keller, and Leon will be big. I do think we need to give up another receiving option in the 2nd round.

By the end of his career, I think Sanchez will go down as one of those guys who just won. Maybe he won't ever put up Manning/Brady numbers, but I think he'll take us to the promise land.

Considering the rookie years other great NFL qb's have endured Sanchez helped take his team within one game of the Super Bowl...an A!!

I also give him an A based on his ability to mature rapidly from the midseason slump on through the playoffs. I am really, really pumped about this kid.

I think he did great in spots and struggled in others. I'm cautiously optimistic for the future without wanting to run naked down the street screaming his name.

Didnt he throw a pick in san diego also. And the int yesterday was deflected off a hand so not completely his fault.

Yeah I forgot about that TO that wasn't his fault it was tipped and picked off, but yeah two TOs, I think he had a rookie record for TDs by a rookie in a post-season I THINK

Both postseason picks came on deflected passes.

He needs more weapons, working within the limits of the team, he has done very well.

I don't think his mid-season collapse should be forgotten, not how awful he was, but how he has bounced back from it, and seemingly become stronger.
Without the green goggles on, I'm certain we have our franchise QB for years to come.
I was all in favour of bringing in a veteran face to help him develope, bu now think that era has passed and would be more than happy to go into next season with Ainge and O'Connell as back ups.

    My Rating A-

With Leon, Keller, Edwards, Cotchery, and Greene. I think that is enough for a rookie to concentrate on, and a second year QB too.

Another wideout might help, but he has enough to play with-

I think he has all the weapons, he just needs another slot receiver and that's about it, he needs his targets to be more reliable (Hi Braylon, and for a while during the season Hi Keller)

I was very concerned at how he struggled in the middle of the season--the dude looked lost, looked like he didn't belong in the NFL, and it was tough to take some good with all the bad when you're playing the way he did against terrible teams like Buffalo and New England. Even the Atlanta game had me worried, but his play in the playoffs got me as giddy as his play the first three games. Not only did he ramp up the accuracy, but I'm not sure he made a single bad decision in all three games--the one interception against San Diego wasn't a terrible read, but a rushed and underthrown ball. We all know he has the physical talents to make any throw on the field, and the way he started to gel with his receivers means he will be able to do that by next year. He grew up in front of our eyes.

His grade for the regular season was about a C --he was godawful half the time and might not have won us any games, but he stillk got us into the playoffs, where he earned an A+.

Oh yea damn they were both deflected. I think my view of his rookie season though would have been really poor if we didnt make the playoffs. The way he played his last 3 games has made me much much more confident in his future and hes probably much more confident in his future.

It was a B- before the playoffs. But he changed it to an A- in the playoffs as he showed he has the capability to be a big-game QB who thrives under pressure.

I think he could be one of those QBs that doesnt have the greatest stats but knows how to get the W - which is what matters right?

I agree with this. Most important in my opinion is that he seems to want to work and want to get better. I really wanted him to be named the starter before the season, but I admit that I was kinda regretting that towards the end of the season (although if Clemens was starting QB, we would never have reached the AFC championship game). However, during the playoffs he really looked great and I think he's poised to become a great QB. Who knows what next year will bring.

we definitley have the weapons! Braylon has potential, Cotchery is way under appreciated, Keller has potential, leon will be back hopefully, a slot reciever is one of our 3 major team needs however

Sanchez showed flashes of brilliance. He also had some brutal moments.... realistic fans will have expected growing pains... I think some of the throws he made yesterday make it crystal clear that he can play at this level. He is an accurate passer and will only get better.

i think he finally started to get it after the loss to the Falcons.
I'm very happy with what i saw out of him the last 5 games. The futures bright.
