Their names were Bum Phillips, Sam Ratigliano, Marty Shottenheimer, Jim Mora, Wade Phillips, Bruce Coslet, Don Coryell, and a number of others. All media darlings, ready with a quip or quote. They win a few games, occasionally make the playoffs, and NEVER WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP. This is Rex Ryan. I give credit to Idzik for not extending him, and I will give him more credit when he sends him packing. And for those that will shoot back "replace him with who?" (as if that's a valid excuse to keep him) my answer is "somebody else". It will be up to Idzik to find a viable HC for this team. Who that is I don't know. But I know it ain't Ryan.
I think it's a talent thing. We have complete scrubs on offense. I don't think Bill Walsh could take this roster to the tournament.
Rex Ryan should not be fired after this season.. HOWEVER I will admit today is the first time I really felt he should be.

Rex should go if the GM feels that the talent Rex has isn't performing up to their talent level. Not sure if that's the case or not, I personally feel this team has played around their talent level, maybe slightly better.

Are we seriously back this over reacting bullshit? Just last week people were nominating him for coach of the year because of where he has this team despite the talent level on this team. Now, after one loss since that time frame, he should be fired? I am amazed at the pure stupidity that comes from this fan base sometimes. It really is amazing. Honestly. I'm amazed.
