Lions | Campbell signed Tue, 14 Mar 2006 14:19:15 -0800 The Detroit Lions have signed free agent TE Dan Campbell (Cowboys) to a five-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed. The lions have signed Kilimba Edwards, Jon Kitna, and Dan Campbell now. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- At this point no body wants to be a jet. And how could you blame them when we have a rookie head coach that noone is familiar with and an owner with really tight pockets. The two dont usually go well together.
NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! dan campbell would have completed our team and would have solidified our chances of gettign to the superbowl. wtf? this guy is a scrub, the reincarnation of anthony becht. the guy has freakin 600 yards in 7 seasons! are you seriously upset that the jets didnt sign him!?!?!
You are right to an extent, but considering we cant even sign the bargain basement players we were targeting, there should be some reason for concern. If you think this is so irrelevant and chose to leave such a sarcastic comment why even bother replying?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You type of fans are the same hypocrites who would have sang praises for signing a guy like cambell for his blocking and depth. Aditionally, i guarantee you were praising the jets for signing a 5th string patriot linebacker to possibly start as our ilb. If your so thrilled for signing a backup linebacker, why arent you dissapointed that we couldnt sign a backup Tight end? Cambell would have added great depth and greatly helped our run game considering jolley and baker couldnt block my dead great grandmother.
Did you fail to see the 2005 meanest poster award he has to post sarcastic remarks over irrelevant posts its in the rules.
I never happened to catch that. That only reaffirms my notion that he has an agenda to criticize every post not started by a poster named abyzmul.
He came to visit, I am not even sure he was offered a contract. I didn't want Campbell anyway. I want Putzier to be signed.
decent attempt at a comeback, and yes, i was fine with signing chatman from the pats, not as a starter, but to replace mark brown who is a FA, and to provide depth. BUT.......you are completely wrong about how i would have been praising them for signing campbell. for you see........we have three tightends on the roster already (jolley, dearth, dreessen). i really dont think we need to sign any more TE's for depth. i would, however, be ecstatic if there was a high end tight end available and we signed him, or even if we drafted vernon davis. but, no, i wouldnt have been happy if we signed campbell.
Are you guys serious here your actin like he was such a great player. He had 3 catches for like 12 yards this year. He wasnt that good.
