I was hoping she was the girl that did that flying leg over body spin pitch, but just the same I'd throw her a donk-first flying cross body tackle to make sure she didn't hurt her little self. Gotta love Korea.
Giant kettles of SoJu. Mystery meat on a stick wrapped in some poor GI's orders. Hot women in really short skirts in every doorway.. Ah, the good old days.
Don't forget the Egg Cheezies and YakiMandu. I was lucky enough to venture outside that radius and get a taste of the real Seoul, but I'll always have a special place in my heart for Itaewon.
I think I survived my entire TOD over there on YakiMandu.. The Egg Cheezies were a nice filler between meals at the chow hall. We used to go down to the ville and hit a small lil spot. I guess that's where I developed my addiction to Ramen noodles. I was there during Tienanmen Square and Reunification fever was running hot and heavy. We were told to stay away from most areas near the University and basically downtown areas. We just couldn't stay out of Itaewon.
Yeah, when I was there they had reunification propaganda everywhere, and probably one a month the universities would be surrounded by "riot police" that were basically bored rich kids avoiding actual mandatory military service
