It will be interesting to see if the Yankees can turn it back on..for the past few weeks they have been just playing out the string while the Red Sox have actually played like they care. We will see how this goes this weekend.
It sucks that Joba drew Lester. Hopefully this will be the game he gets it back on track. It would be nice if he can go 5 so we can preserve some pen for CC. I'd really like to slow down Sabathia's inning count if at all possible. Should be an interesting series.
Joba sucks. Interesting? Just end this fucking season already! Enough with the Red Sox, enough with all of it! The playoffs should have started a month ago. sooooooooooooo fuckin long. Does any of this shit matter this weekend? NO NO NO
It matters if they get swept and come out of the weekend only up 2 1/2 with 6 to go..Sure it matters. heh.. http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/yankees/boomer_joba_gettin_short_straw_z1Q6ktDZ80JNtlVfvtWHGK
Well, who knows, but if Hughes and Kennedy both have a good spring next year, and Joba still can't get through a lot of innings, it's surely possible he could win up back in the pen. Doubtful. But possible. More likely the Yankees continue to stick with the plan and eventually Joba becomes the dominant starter his talent should allow him to be. In the meantime, we can continue to hear all the critics whine about the way he's being coddled. All the while ignoring that when Joba's payday comes, he's going to demand a shitton more money than David Wells ever did. Anyway, it would take a Boston sweep to make this race interesting again, but it should still be an interesting series. Chances are, this is the last time we'll be seeing Boston in 2009. And I love the long baseball season.
They're 4-5 against the Angels this year. 2-4 in LA. That's not really ownage. ALCS is going to be Angels @ Yankees.
10-2 against them in postseason over the last 4 years. Winning all series. As good as LA is against us.
This guy has to be the easiest guy on the planet to dislike. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/10123144/Yankees-are-no-cinch-when-postseason-begins
