What keys are you holding together when you start these threads that are creating these great powers? Nicely done.

Gotta pound the Royals. Sox vs. Cleveland is a great chance to pick up games somewhere. If the Yanks take care of business, they'll be moving on up one way or another. Gotta take care of that business first, though.

    Go Yanks!

This is going to be a rough series. I know a lot of people are discounting the Royals, but they're no pushover team these days. We need to take another series. A sweep would be ideal, but we need to win the series at the very least.

    Go Yankees!!!

Yankees got lucky in avoiding the buzzsaw that is Brian Bannister.

The pitching, starting and relief, has been more then enough lately (well, except Mussina anyway). If they keep hitting even at a modest level they will do fine. The best thing is that they have no off days until next Monday. We all know they can't win for a week after an off day this season.

Can we get some pitching matchups GM? I'm lazy.

Sounds like 50/50 between a sweep and a 3-1 win (Meche).

Let's keep the pain train rollin'!

Anybody know for sure what the rules are when resuming a suspended game? We have that Saturday at Baltimore and I was wondering if you can change around your lineup any way you want when it restarts.

    Because I am bored:

Here is some pitching scouting for the Royals:

    vs. NYY Perez is 0-1, 4.2 IP, 15.43 ERA, 8h 8r 2HR

Scott Elarton is 3-0, 26IP, 4.85 ERA ( Note this is his first start since June 19th..He was on the DL for a Right Foot strain.)

No. You have to pick up where you left off. All players used are ineligible to play(ie Pitchers, Pinch hitters, etc)

I kind of thought that but then had the thought of what about if people have been traded, sent to the minors or just plain hurt when it resumes.

And for the record...My first thread start was 7/2 vs the Twins..

14-5 since..Most likely due to a weak schedule, but they did take the Twins and Angels series.

Shh, don't gloat. You don't want to jinx it. Suffice to say things are going okay for us right now, and you happen to be the thread starter.

We need to play this series like it's the playoffs. If we managed to sweep it we would pick up a total of 4 games split between Boston and Cleveland depending on how that series goes.

I believe that game is 8-6 Yankees 2 Outs Jeter on 2nd Top of the 8th.

The Yankees need to hold on to that game for sure.

    ARGH! My nightmare come true...

Just let Andy Phillips PLAY! And let Duncan show one way or the other whether he is MLB capable. Plus, we have Damon and Matsui to revolve in the DH spot. There is no room for Giambi, and Phillips is a better hitting version of Dougie.

Please don't make the same mistake as last year. Let the guys that took you to the dance take you home.
