Giese will start on Friday. I guess they're not going to hand Kennedy anything, he'll have to do even more to earn it.

Rasner will be available for the bullpen on Wednesday, presumably as the long-reliever.

Well, that could pretty much do it for the season.

Excuse me while I go jump off a bridge.

Cone thinks it was just a heat cramp.

He better be right. I'm so sick of our young pitchers getting hurt in Texas.

Its a good game, but YES announcers are unbearable compared to SNY...Gary Cohen, Keith Hernandez and Ron Darling.

Lose your stud pitcher to an apparent shoulder...Missed opportunities with a RISP...And a walk-off Grand Slam?

If their was ever a night where I wanted to start to do blow...It'd be tonight.

    http://www.nj.com/yankees/index.ssf/2008/08/yankees_joba_chamberlain_to_mi.html

Joba Chamberlain came out of tonight's game in the fifth inning with a stiff shoulder and wil undergo tests today in New York.

Manager Joe Girardi expressed hope that it's a short-term injury because it didn't seem to be in the shoulder or elbow but more the deltoid muscle. But Girardi said he expects Chamberlain to miss his next scheduled start, Saturday at Anaheim.

"We don't think it's anything serious," Girardi said.

Chamberlain said he felt a little tightness in the fourth inning and then throughout the fifth.

"It just kind of grabbed, I guess," he said.

Chamberlain said he is optimistic because his velocity was OK and he passed some strength tests from the trainers.

"It's a big turn, because he's thrown the ball well for us," Girardi said.

Man that sounds like something from a Mets thread.... fortunately for us the only thing hurting Santana is the bullpen. Everything else seems about right though. Maybe the guys in the Bronx are starting to take pointers from the guys in Queens on how to lose baseball games.

We get screwed again, I thought the Yankees were supposed to get all the calls? it seems like on a nightly basis we are getting screwed. We get the DP and there should have been 2 out and no one on and they reverse the call which never happens and they hit a 3 run HR.
