He'll still win 20+ games and the AL Cy Young award.

Ian Kennedy will come in second in the voting.

And Joba...forget about it. I honestly expect he'll throw a no hitter when the Yankees move him into the starting rotation.

The Yankees have the most amazing and deep young pitching major league baseball has ever experienced.

Have the Mets been eliminated yet?

Does Hughes look hurt? How's his velocity?

Another bad start by Hughes, and only 2 runs scored against freaking Cabrera.

From the little I saw, Hughes looked fine until A-Rod forgot how to throw the ball home, and Hawkins came in and all the inherited runners scored off him.

Why talk about the Mets in a Yankee thread.

I was talking about the Yankees fine young stable of pitchers. They'll be shutting down the AL for years to come.

    Intelligence. It's not for everyone.

Why on earth do you even care? Are you even aware how pathetic and/or bitter it makes you look? I'm guessing no. Too bad for you.

In relevant news, Hughes looked better tonight. The results weren't there, but not entirely his fault. Obviously, he still has a good way to go, but tonight's start was something to build off of. The velocity was there. The control was there (for the most part). When he missed, it wasn't by much. Contact rate is down. Hits aren't hard off of him. Nine times out of ten, that kind of performance will wind up as a quality start.

I see they brought Ramirez up..I thought he would be the first to get the call. I had already turned it off but it looks like he pitched well. Just as he was at Scranton.

I missed almost the entire game, and didn't see a single pitch from Hughes. I was worried when I saw what little I did.

So Hughes actually pitched good, and it was others that blew it? That's a positive for me. The one thing is though, this team needs to get it together offensively. This season reeks of last year already.

He pitched good for 3 innings, maybe 4, that's about it. He still gave up 9 hits and a pair of walks in 5 and a third. Certainly looked much better than he had in his previous 2 starts. As usual, no hitting and that doesn't look like it's getting any better.

I'm fine with that performance. Again, he's still a "baby", so he's got time. As long as the velocity and control were there for a few innings, it means he hasn't "lost" them.

The hitting really gets under my skin. There's no excuse anymore. Certain guys are hitting, but there are guys who really don't deserve their contracts, and they're bringing the rest of the team down.

It's not worth your time. He's TGGs resident miserable douchebag and contributes nothing to the board at all.
