    Brett Gardner LF
    Nick Swisher RF
    Mark Teixeira 1B
    Robinson Cano 2B
    Jorge Posada DH
    Curtis Granderson CF
    Eduardo Nunez SS
    Ramiro Pena 3B

That is a scary bottom third.

I sincerely apologize to Joe Torre for all the times I questioned his managerial skills. I had no idea how bad it could be.

But, on the bright side, maybe next year Girardi will be pulling the Cubs starters in the 6th inning.

It's funny, usually when a team wins a championship (in any sport) you really want that coach to stay on. After the Yankees win the World Series, Girardi could leave and I don't think anybody would be upset

the only explanation i can come up with is that after the third time around Nova has a sub 4.7 ish FIP.

Still, Girardi is a retarded douchebag idiot.

And yet I'd still take him over Torre. In a heartbeat. No question about it.

When it comes to ML managers, the IQ range is, like, from 50-80. You're almost definitely getting a certifiable idiot any way you slice it; it's just a question of whether they're capable of dressing themselves in the morning. Thing is, Girardi seemed like he knew what he was doing with the Marlins... more than he does now, at least. Makes me wonder if it's something else, like the bench coach, or playing in NY. I know Torre went from bad to worse when Zimmer left.

    good game tonight.

That Brandon Morrow for Brandon League trade with the Mariners looks better and better each time I see Morrow on the pitcher's mound. :)

Morrow is a hell of a talent. Too bad he needed the umps to give him this game. God, what a horrible job they did tonight. On both sides. But it cost the Yanks the game.

I didn't watch the game but I'm assuming it was pulling Nova after only 73 (44 strikes) pitches

People complain way too much about Girardi--the dude just won a World Series for chrissakes. Considering how many bad managers there are in the MLB, we should feel lucky to have a guy who at least understands the game.

The umps pretty much blew this game, but you can't complain too much about that. All the bad calls even out over the course of a 162 game season.

The best thing about tonight? Bautista being exposed as a fraud. Jeter could hit 40 HR in this stadium.

In all fairness, Yankee Stadium is very home run-happy as well. It was funny to see Bautista misjudge a fly ball in the 2nd though. I believe this season is just an abberation, anyone know if it's a contract year for him?

    Also, Moseley > Vazquez
