I know he played safety as well... I also like Chase Thomas from Stanford as a possible OLB prospect and he seems like less of a tweener guy, as he didn't change positions.

I know you like Warmack but what you do think of Barrett Jones? He could play G for us but also serve as insurance in case Mangold went down. It owuld give Ducasse another year to develop but also give us a potential for Mangold's replacement a few years down the road.

Barrett Jones is a great player, but Warmack is something else. Todd McShay has said that he is the best guard he's ever scouted.

YES!!!

Warmack is elite, he's better than 90% of the guards in the NFL right now. I watched a recent Bama game keying on Warmack ,as much as the camera would let me, and he was getting a push on runs 5 + yards downfield on every run play.

CW is a good pass protector, it's area he can still work on.

DeCastro is very good and I wanted the Jets to consider drafting him last April, but he's not the same level talent as CW.

Warmack is being discussed , by many, as a top 10 pick, that's almost unheard of for a pure guard.

First, I always state "you can't fill all needs in the draft", it's impossible.

I make my selections based on who could(will) be the BPA and with a common sense approach on need.

A few conditions:

The Jets should win more than they lose from this point, missing the playoffs with a 7-9 or 8-8 record, which I predicted with my first mock.

Jet's end the Tebow experiment and sign a Vet back-up QB to push Sanchez next year.

Bryan Thomas, Brandon Moore & Bart Scott are the 3 starters not returning.

Rex finally understands we need more offensive talent and it's the focal point of this draft. Addressing the O-Line is going to be a priority.

ROUND 1 - CHANCE WARMACK, OG, BAMA - drafting in the early teens Warmack is a terrific value. I know some may not like this pick, it's not flashy, but IMO, Warmack is better than DeCastro from last year and one of the very best guards to come out in recent memory. An outstanding player making way for the run game and instant starter.

As much as I love Jones and Te'o, they will be long gone. I had to find the next BPA that would help this team's offensive funk.

ROUND 2 - CHASE THOMAS, OLB, STANFORD - great coverage player that also makes some plays in the backfield. Not an overwhelming pass rusher, but makes plays with sheer effort, will be the hardest working player on this team. A player that will be in demand on any defense...4-3 or 3-4.

ROUND 3 - JOHNATHAN FRANKLIN, RB, UCLA - may be it's wishful thinking, but Franklin could fall to early part of Rd 3. Very productive runner that has a medium build (5'10"). Not a flashy back, runs with excellent vision and makes good cuts.

ROUND 4 - ERIC FISHER, OT, CENTRAL MICHIGAN - one of the best players in the MAC. A few have Fisher rated higher, but being from a smaller school, drops his stock. Also, there is a a lot of good second tier talent at many positions Rd 2 - Rd 4 will be loaded that push players down, it always happens. Could challenge for RT from the start.

ROUND 5 - JARED ABBREDERIS, WR, WISCONSIN - I really like this player, since I see a lot of Big Ten games. Makes plays, great hands good size 6'2", could add some LBs. Just a hard working, no nonsense player that will contribute. Also returns punts, but probably won't be a punt returner in the NFL. Could be a solid 2/3 receiver. Has a good YAC average.

ROUND 6 - WES HORTON, DE/OLB, USC - Overall a disappointing career at USC, some injuries, a lot more was expected. 6'5' around 255 that could play DE in a 4-3, but has some potential coverage skills, a big body that could develop into a big 3-4 OLB.

ROUND 7 - PHILLIP LUTZENKIRCHEN, TE, AUBURN- A steal in Rd 7. Injury put him out for the rest of the year, could have been a Rd 3 prospect. Good receiver that has blocking skills.

At least I knew who Fisher was in Nov., most never heard of him till Senior Bowl week.
