My effort at 2010's Round 1 Mock. The order of teams is my opinion of where they will place.

It takes alot of of Time to put together a Rd 1 Mock.

Carolina and Chicago have no Rd 1 Picks.

Seattle and 49ers have 2 picks each.

Comments welcome, I don't expect everyone to agree with my picks, but it's a starting point since the draft is 6 months away.

    Enjoy!!!

    1) St Louis: Jimmy Clausen, QB, Notre Dame .....Rams get their needed Franchise QB and JC fits the bill.

    2) Tampa Bay: Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska.....Tampa needs lots of help, DL is a big need.

    3) Tennessee: Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma....Collins and Young are goners.

    4) Cleveland: Eric Berry, S, Tenn....Browns get a huge playmaker.

    5) Kansas City: Russell Okung, OT, Okla St.....Cassell needs protection.

    6) Washington: Tim Tebow, QB, Florida...Snyder takes "Superman".

    7) Oakland: Taylor Mays, S, USC....Oakland has many needs and Mays helps the weak safety position.

    8) Detriot: Joe Haden, CB, Florida....Secondary could use an upgrade and Haden has the potential to be special.

    9) Jacksonville: Jake Locker, QB, Washington....a slight reach but Jacksonville needs a QB and someone to put asses in the seats.

    10) Buffalo: Gerald McCoy, DT, Oklahoma....Buffalo's run defense needs an upgrade.

    11) Dallas: Bryan Bulaga, OT, Iowa....Flozell Adams...enough said.

    12) Seattle: Charles Brown, OT, USC...May be the most Athletic OT in the Draft, needs to bulk up some.

    13) 49ers: Trent Williams, OT, Oklahoma...Run on OTs in RD 1..a Niner need.

    14) Philadelphia: Roland McClain, LB, Bama.....Reid blosters the LB corp.

    15) Green Bay: Bruce Campbell, OT, Maryland........Protecting Rogers is a smart move.

    16) Houston: Sean Weatherspoon, LB, Mizzou....a great LB next to Demeco Ryans.

    17) Miami: Greg Hardy, DE, Ole Miss....Considered Cody, but Hardy fills a big need.

    18) NY JETS: TERRENCE CODY, NT, BAMA....Massive player that takes on multiple O-Lineman......Rex understands the need with Jenkins out and on the back-end of his career.

    19) Baltimore: Damian Williams, WR, USC.....more playmakers needed for Flacco.

    20) 49ers: Sergio Kindle, LB, Texas....good off the edge rusher.

    21) Cincinnati: Jahvid Best, RB, Cali....Bengals need another RB, Best would fit in well.

    22) San Diego: Arrelious Benn, WR, Illini...Chargers add another Big receiver. Benn's stock falls with Juice's terrible play.

    23) Seattle: C J Spiller, RB, Clemson....a big need for the Hawks, CJ is a great player.

    24) Arizona: Anthony Davis, OT, Rutgers.......may be one of the best rd 1 tackles.

    25) Denver: Carlos Dunlap, DE, Florida...I'll take some heat with Carlos falling. Dunlap has some ????s. IMO, a good fit for Denver.

    26) New England: Dez Bryant, WR, Okla St....I wouldn't have made this pick a few weeks ago, but with Galloway gone.....Dez will light up the Pat's great offense.

    27) Atlanta: Derrick Morgan, DE, Georgia Tech....good rusher to pair with JA.

    28) Minny: Everson Griffen, DE, USC...Underated player, makes the Vikes D-line even better.

    29) Pittsburg: Trevard Lindley, CB, Kentucky...Steelers can go many directions....upgrade at CB will help.

    30) Giants: Jermaine Gresham, TE, Oklahoma....Surprise pick!!! Kevin Boss is good, Gresham is on another level.

    31) Indy: Brandon Spikes, LB, Florida.......Indy's Front 7 can use some help.

    32) Saints: Eric Norwood, LB, S.C......outside LB would be a nice addition.

I like the Terrance Cody pick, he's a big motherfucker. Can he play some 3-4 end tho? I know Jenkins is probably at the tail end of his career but he still has a few more great years at NT ahead of him

    As always, good shit WW.

Jimmy Clausen to the Rams is basically a lock.

Ndamukong Suh to the Bucs would be a great move, but I don't know if they'll be able to pass on Eric Berry. Their secondary is the worst in the league. Tampa could also use a linebacker because there's no way in hell Barrett Ruud is going to stay with them.

Al Davis is having wet dreams about Taylor Mays right now.

Eric Norwood is a beast. Anyone that gets him that late in the first will be very lucky.

I don't know if the Eagles will draft a linebacker in the first because of their recent trade for Wil Witherspoon. Rolando McClain is a baller though.

CJ Spiller has to go ahead of Jahvid Best...especially after the lack of success Cal's smallish backs have had at the pro level. I believe Fresno's Ryan Mathews has climbed ahead of Best as the west coast's top back.

Everson Griffen to the Vikes would be huge. They'd have the best pass rush in the league for years with Griffen and Allen on that line.

I'm gonna be the first to give you hell about Carlos Dunlap - I don't think it's possible for 3-4 type players like Greg Hardy and Sergio Kindle to go before Dunlap...even if both of those guys are edge rushers and not ends. Any team, no matter what style they play, will be stupid to pass on a player with that combination of size, athleticism, and potential.

I don't know if Washington will take Tebow. I would've liked to see Seattle go for Jake Locker and Jacksonville select Tim Tebow. Both of these teams are having horrible ticket sales, and hometown players would definitely boost their sales.

At this point, Terrence Cody to the Jets is a must...if he's not there, Tannenbaum has to trade back and acquire more picks.

I've never going to be high on Russ Okung. I just don't like what I see from him.

Cody is beyond the #1 priority. my unpopular and shrewd business decision to trade Jenx for more picks in this draft and go guarantee Cody in the 1st.

if he keeps blocking kicks he'll go top 10.

I could see Tebow going to the Redskins because Snyder likes big names but if not he goes to the Jaguars, and if not there it is a long long drop off. I've heard someone say some negative things about Dunlap's effort, but I still think he is one of the first DE's off the board. Also I dont think Sean Witherspoon will go that high. Also I might even see Noorwood go ahead of Kindle

Spoon is an animal. If he puts on a little weight and runs a good 40, he'll get drafted mid-first.

That's why I have Timmy Boy going to the Deadskins...Snyder's type of player. Rumors have it Gruden may be the Skin's coach next year and he's in love with Tebow.

I knew I would take heat for Dunlap's drop, I really like Dunlap he's a special player, but there are some concerns. Dunlap will either be an All-pro or a major disappointment...no middle ground.

I love Norwood, but doubt he goes ahead of Kindle......unless Kindle's DUI raises some red flags.

Weatherspoon makes plays like crazy, the only reason I would watch a Mizzou game this year.

Yeah, Spoon has it all. He flies around the field and is a tremendous leader. He'll be a captain for some team.

Love the mock and Jets pick. We need to get Terrence Cody. He's perfect for us.

Eric Norwood's height will scare some teams, however, if he has a great combine and does well in his interviews, there's no doubt in my mind that a few GMs will fall in love with this kid.

His motor will move him up on most draft boards.

Sergio Kindle is a bit more versatile. He's proven that he can be a good player whether he's standing up or has his hand in the dirt.

Appreciate your comments! Always enjoy your posts!!! Some very good points, especially Locker and Timmy going to their local NFL Teams. Who knows, JAX may not even have a NFL team in a few years.

BTW, I'm extremely high on Weatherspoon...love his game.

It's tough as shit to make a well thought out mock and make all the pieces fit.

Imagine if we got Cody in the 1st and Oghobaase in the 2nd.

    That would be magical.

My top five would be a mirror of that.

Joe Haden is a stud, and I seriously underrated him for the mock I did. Definite top ten caliber corner.

I like Bulaga and Brown above Williams. I'm just not of big fans of Trent. Plus, Bulaga has some great ability and Brown has been terrific all season. Might even throw Campbell up there ahead of him as well.

I like Rolando McClain as the top LB, Weatherspoon's a very good player, but I think Rolando's a flat out stud.

The few things I disagree with were pretty much outlined by Mr E. Dunlap should be higher, I know, he hasn't been lighting the world on fire, but he's honestly even a decent coach away from stardom. Spiller also needs to be the top guy. Though I went as far as to make Matthews my #1 about a week ago, he's just too skilled.

Also, I rank those 34 rushers a little different, but but nothing drastic.

A delightful read as always Dub Dub.

Cody is THAT GUY every year that you identify early, not on everyone's lists yet but, will be long gone before the Jets pick.....

I think he goes top 10.

I like the mock, I hear very good things about dunlap, such as that he could go very high as in top 10, so him dropping seems odd, but you guys know more than I do. Curious to see what you would have us doing should Miami take Cody directly before the Jets at 17. Would you have them take Dunlap? or would you go a different direction?

Obviously it's early but it seems really well thought out. A lot of teams and their QB situations won't be figured out until their coach's fate is decided. For example, if Jeff Fisher is retained, I doubt Tennessee takes a QB. I'd love Cody as a Jet though.

    Some of my thoughts

-I don't think TEN will finish behind Cleveland and KC. And I can see them going QB but I think ownership won't give up on Vince Young just yet. Look for them to grab one in rd 2 or 3 maybe. I think they need to get themselves some secondary help...Especially if Barry is around for them. They'd be crazy not to, he played college at Tenn. Barry won't be there(I will mention later where he'd go) and they will settle with Taylor Mays who is still good.

    - Locker will be the 2nd QB taken, ahead of Tebow and Bradford. I expect Jake Locker's Corner to roast the combine and possibly contend with Clausen as far as combine numbers go. Bradford I think will get fucked in this department and could fall out to rd 2 or 3(Where then I can see TEN getting him). I can see Tebow landing mid 1st round to JAX in an attempt to sell him to the fanbase and try to get fans coming to games. Just don't think he will go top 10.

Would be shocked if WSH didn't go with Locker there.

    - Since I have CLE finishing better than OAK And TEN, you know the ex Pats DB coach Eric Mangini will wet himself over Eric Barry and will run to the podium is TB skips on him(Which I can see).

    - Love the 2nd pick for TB, they dealt Adams and need some beef up front.

    - Can see KC reaching like they did last year for Ty Jackson and taking Mount Cody because they need some force up front in the 3-4. May not make Jet fans happy.....But Glenn Dorsey is going to get dealt draft day for a 2nd rounder(Maybe Miami since Fergerson is getting old). Cody could be a monster at the combines and could be a top 7 pick possibly barring any injuries. 3-4 NT's aren't easy to find and Pioli knows this.

    - Now with Mount Cody gone, I would be shocked if NYJ didn't get their hands on Carlos Dunlap and stick him at DE. Ryan has too much respect to Jenkins to take a DT/NT round 1 and will grab one in round 2. We do need a replacement for Douglas and this would be a nice step. Dunlap's a stud. Hardy could be an option for DA JETS.

    - BUF needs a LT so bad.....If Trent Williams is around there, they will grab him so fast......

    - With Benson's emergence and the Cincy DE spot kind of weak with the always hurt Odom, I think Cincy goes DE here and could take Eversen Griffin as Palmer, Rivers and Maualuga have a bonfire in joy.

    - I think SD could take a RB before WR....Can see Best go off here.

Ryan Mathews would be a better option at running back for the Chargers. Best is basically the same player as Sproles.

Is Sam Bradford overrated? Everything about him screams "FUTURE NFL BUST" (spread offense, injury prone, doesn't have great physical skills)

I just dont think there is any way that Mt Cody will fall to us.
There are too many teams going 3-4 now that really really need an NT.
If Miami, Denver & SD draft ahead of us ---- those guys dont even have a 1st string NT to lean on.
There is no way San Diego drafts ahead of us --- and they lost Jamal Williams for the year, maybe even his career ---- they need an NT.
Also consider KC trading down or even trading back up to jump ahead of us. Same w/San Francisco.
