speaking of edwards, did anybody see him yell after a big grab "Just gimme the damn ball!" I think it was the long play up the left sideline.... Either way, Edwards has been stellar for us, thats for sure.

I'm not sure that I will be a big fan of Braylon Edwards' particular brand of leadership.

It's amazing what a contract year will do for your performance.

no i think he'll actually be good for us. change of scenery always helps.
For example: he now has sanchez(future hall of famer), schotty (best o-cordinator in nfl)

I couldn't be happier about the Edwards trade. I hope he gets a new deal pronto.

He uses lots of reverses and the team is always doing something out there before the snap. Just watch and you'll see, there's always a guy in motion and a lot of the time two in one play that makes the defense move too. He makes sure his QB has plenty of time to throw the ball by using the shotgun a lot and he's not afraid to do it on 3rd and 3 and 2nd and 6 and other downs where the defense might think you were running or passing if you were under center, that's real confidence. He calls the WR quick out left a lot because that's the side the tightend is not on and it makes the defense spread the field out more. He runs to the right a lot because that's where the tightend is and that's where you can man up and overpower the other team. He doesn't use the center of the field much in the passing game because you really want to encourage the safeties to move outside and spread the defense. When a receiver is going deep up the center of the field the odds are pretty good he is a decoy and low in the progression, if the throw is deep it is going to be on the sidelines and if it's slightly underthrown that has nothing to do with the fact that a throw from the QB to the sidelines travels 5+ yards more on average than a throw up the seams.

I love Brian Schottenheimer. I hope he's our OC for ever because we can keep outsmarting the other team forever as long as we don't do the obvious things.

I agree. I hate the way he feels he has to prove he's the smartest guy around.

What have YOU been smokin' ?

Shotty <> Best OC in anything, for sure not the NFL...

....and the only coordinator he ever seems to outsmart - is himself......

Man...all the love towards Schott really surprises me. He has been one of the more predictable OC's in the NFL in short yardage situations. He seems to have a way of making other teams just look flat out better then they really are.

Maybe its me. Im just not sold on him. Besides moving guys around before the balls snapped....I havent seen a gameplan he put together that has impressed me.

We have either run the ball down a few teams throats or we havent.

Back on subject....Edwards...the good and the bad..has to be signed. Receiver position is just too hard to fill with potential game breakers....and he is a potential game breaker.
