Yes. The dudes dying. Can't take it with him. Besides, who in their right mind dies with a million dollars laying around. Hell, at least hit the strip club a few nights in a row. Jeeez.
And a few months before the 1999 season -- not long before owner Leon Hess died -- Hess gave Belichick a $1 million bonus. Parcells told me it was to reinforce the terms of the contract and to thank Belichick for not taking any other head coaching jobs (in Chicago, Oakland or Kansas City). Belichick told me it was for a job well done and for not taking any of the three aforementioned jobs; thus, after the Jets' ownership change, he was free to take the New England job. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/ins...9/11/mmqb0911/ __________________
This Sunday at 1pm is my Super Bowl This game to me...by FEEL, is the closest thing I've ever had to the Jets playing a Super Bowl caliber game. The magnitude is so great. Here is the big bad Belichicken standing in our way. I know chances are this Jets team isn't ready to take the next step...but it's now or never. How many chances do you have to knock off a hated division rival in a playoff game? Especially Belichicken with all the history. This game is so huge, it means so much to me. We can go on and win 5 super bowls in a row starting next year...but if we lose this game to the Patriots, something is still going to feel incomplete. We MUST win, we are the one's who are DESTINED to stomp out the Patsy dynasty once and for all on their home turf. This is how it has to happen!
No, I woudnt. BB was a disgrace to do so. But a lot of people have been accused of things they were not guilty of and handled it with class.....like O.J. Simpson...the former great running back of the Buffalo Bills and great actor in the Naked Gun movies.
