I was thinking about it and I just wanted to bring it up with you guys and see what you guys think ... This could be a realistic dilemma that pops up with the jets in the draft ... Let's say Justin Gilbert does fall to the jets at 18 ... Option #1: Would u rather take Gilbert with our 1st and say Jordan Matthews/Allen Robinson with our second ....... OR ....... Option #2: ODBJ/Cooks with our 1st and say Jason Verett with our 2nd .... I wanna see which combo u guys would prefer .... I personally prefer option #2 but wanna see your guys opinions as I thought it would be a pretty good debate and something we could realistically be faced with in the draft

The latter for sure. I'm not a big fan of Gilbert, and Verett is the best cover corner in this draft. Only downside is his size, or else he'd have gone a lot higher.

Give me Cooks/ODBJ and Verett in the 2nd round if that's the direction.

i think i could live with gilbert at 18 - taken at that position is likely very, very good value but i cannot endorse any other corner at 18. too many 1st round corners for me over the years. i would say gilbert and matthews in the 1st and 2nd would be OK.

option 2. I believe Gilbert has bust potential, but then again every prospect does.

I just love what Beckham or Cooks would add to our offense.

Option 2 for a combination of reasons but mostly I dislike the idea of using our first on a CB...again.

Option 2 but I'd be surprised if Verett is still there.

Option 2, Beckham and Verrett/Fuller all day over Gilbert and any rd 2 WR available

Option 2 is fine but I don't think Verret is a starting corner. He is real tiny and long term probably a slot corner in the NFL. I think Idzik will target a big CB modeled after Richard Sherman.

Good question and a tough decision for me. I love Gilbert's potential almost as much as Cooks and Beckham. I love what Cooks or Beckham would do for our offense and STs. I love the potential TOs and TDs Gilbert could produce. I think I'd have to opt for #2, but probably would be almost as happy, maybe moreso with #1.

Verret has great cover skills, like almost elite like. If his size wasn't an issue, he'd be a top 10-15 pick, and the 1st or 2nd corner off the board.
