Mindful that a lot of fans here are superstitious I have phrased my question sensitively so not not to incur any wrath for fear of a Jinx. (I don't believe in such nonsense; what's meant for us will not go past us). If the Jets EVER got to a Superbowl would you go to the venue without any hope of a ticket? Be there to share the experience with the Jets faithful even if meant watching in a bar near the stadium) (New York In a couple of years doesn't count) With ticket prices expected to go through the roof for 2011 (AVERAGE PRICE FOR POOR SEAT- $ 4000) would you go to the venue just to be part of the festivities?
Been thinking about it. Super Bowl week has lots of great parties around the area. I have friends there to crash with. So far, it seems to be a once in a lifetime thing, since the Jets have never made it there in my 40 yrs.
No, I would shell out the money for a ticket if I really wanted to go. The thing is, I couldn't see myself ever wanting to go except for the one here in the Meadowlands if the Jets make it that year. Just too much money/hassle when it's more fun to just watch it at home
Good honest answers guys, thanks for the feedback because I'm only asking what everyone is thinking. Keep them coming.
My uncle won the Steeler season ticket lottery and got to buy tickets for Super Bowl 43. He says it was phenomenal to see the game in person.
i actually hedged a bet to go last year. bet $200 on the jets at the start of the playoffs at 18/1 (odds to get to the super bowl). sadly, they didn't make it. that's really the only way to hedge and that's the only way to go, imo. this year, i can't go, so i bet $50 on 11/1 and will be throwing a super bowl party instead if they make it.
after the game, my dad told took me and said to my mom. "Im jut letting you know. if the jets make the superbowl- im goingand im taking my son with me. I dont care how much it is, ive waited to goddanm long for this." so...i guess thats a yes?
i already priced out tickets and travel costs...looking at around $3500 total, luckily i have a friend who lives in dallas, but if we advance i will be heading there alone because my dad will be out of the country on business and i do not have any friends that like the jets haha....but no doubt it would still be a great time!
Hell yeah Dallas isn't that far from me in SD, Cali! Even if I can't get tickets I'd go to represent!
Last year I was looking at going as I was in a good position to do that budget wise.this year not so much.so I guess the answer is yes if it's in budget I am going
