Lets assume we ship Abe for a mid 2nd, Lets say Cleveland for the #43 (I really can't see us getting a #1 for him) What If our 1st 4 rounds shaped up like this 1: AJ Hawk OLB The Ohio State University 2a: Nick Mangold C The Ohio State University 2b via Cleveland: Antonio Cromartie CB Florida State 3a: Andrew Whitworth OT Louisiana State 3b: (Comp pick for Jordan) Charlie Whitehurst QB Clemson 4a: Babatunde Oshinowo DT Stanford 4b via KC: Brad Smith RB Missouri (yes he was a QB in college)
I wouldn't be dissapointed, because with Hawk and Cromartie our D could be unvelievable, but I really think we need to adress the offense at least twice on the first day.
LMFAO! Ofcourse you wouldn't be disappointed but no way in the hell that happens! Your 2b and 3a will not fall that much. No way. This isa draft of steals.
How could you be disappointed with that? Our defense would be amazing, and we would do a nice job addressing our offense.
Although unlikely not bad. Although I like your line of thinking more than the players you picked. I would prefer Mario Williams, Haloti Ngata, D.Brick or one of the QBs at #4 to Hawk. Gimme Brodie Croyle over Whitehurst and stay the F away from QB's moving to other positions and I'm cool with it.
Like Mexican Buc said, this will be a draft of steals. I wouldn't be disappointed at all. Even if it means taking Jay Cutler from the guys in gold in Nashville!
I'd love to have Hawk on the defense. Cromartie I'm not sure about, but I'd be happy with the rest. However, we'd need to sign a lunchbox DE from FA to make that defense work. I have no faith that DRob can play DE in the 3-4.
