I remember how all I heard was Idzik got a plan just let it play out. What do you guys think of his plan now? I have to be honest he had a great plan to get Rex fired. Is that the plan you was talking about? It sure wasn't a plan to make the Jets a better football team.
Plus would like to know how many of you donated to the billboard? Come on you can tell us we all are wrong in life. Lol
While I don't think this thread will last. Lol I am curious to see if any of the hundreds who fought to the death about the " genius of John idzik" have the balls to own it now
I'm one of them! Will happily admit I was wrong. I thought he was a great hire and was a huge follower of his moves until he started acted like a retard this past offseason with cornerback. Things started to look bad to me at that point. Now I know, I was very wrong. I hope Woody cans his ass ASAP
Least you have balls and I can't be mad at you after you just educated me n Winston. went from a guy I didn't like to the guy I want now. I just watched Mariana running all over the place and I have done a quick 180 lol.
Lol Like I said, Oregon vs. FSU is gonna be fun to watch! Now you have a very good reason to watch that game
If only you would have read some of the things I have read, within the last 10 years........ I really hope for the sake of humanity, these clowns weren't in charge of anything in their personal life........
I saw, but that style of offense and the threAt he is with his legs makes me nervous. Very wide open style. The nfl isn't like that, and when it is.. It works for short period of times. I like traditional big pocket passers.
That's the problem with some fans. They'd rather be right than see the team play well. I still believe Idzik will have one more year. I can't think of a GM who was fired after two seasons. His job has been spotty at best, but I want to see what happens with this cap space and our early picks. He's got more than enough to work with. Some of the idiots here could put together a solid team with that.
The "plan" is tried and true. Build through the draft, fill in FA'S and manage money well. So far Idzik's drafts are not great with the number of picks he's had. His FA'S are 50/50, but we do have money. This team was in really bad shape as far as talent, it's better now than the last two years, but still has holes.
I also expected Idzik to do well here. I liked the way he was reserved in FA and managed the cap with a conservative approach. However...now I realize that he was too conservative and made too many bad decisions. He was too slow in Free Agency to get the guys he sought out and too reluctant to consider other options such as a Revis reunion. On top of that...he is ignorant when it comes to signing injury-prone and players with character issues. Mike Goodson, Dimitri Patterson, drafted Dee Milliner, Dexter McDougle. Breno and Chris Johnson were bad signings and Jalen Saunders didn't work out. The fact that they had 12 draft picks and didn't trade some of them up was incredibly stupid since they knew they weren't going to keep them all. He gives in blindly to his "competition" mantra which has truth. However Idzik ignores the fact that while competition brings out the best in players...it's limited by how good the players can potentially be. The lack of talent is so extreme that no level of competition (real or fake) would help the team. The only case to be made for Idzik staying is that he will have the inside track on new potential head coach candidates and he brings consistency to the team. The hot prospects for HC are Derrell Bevell (Seahawks OC) and Dan Quinn (Seahawks DC) among other candidates. Idzik personally knows a lot of these guys are could reel them in. However, personally...Idzik is more of a liability than an asset at this point.
I'll own up to it, but I still believe that he should get one more year, with a HC of his choosing who does not need the best CB in the leauge for his defense to be successful. There were a lot of holes on this team, they have filled some of the holes, TE, FS, WR, and Aboushi(2013) is looking better every game as the rest of this season finishes up. For all the crying I have heard about the cb position, Injuries happen to all teams, it seems some of our fans can't get past that point in their judgement of Idzik. They will use it as an excuse for Rex inability to coach a defense this year, but they will use it as a weapon against Idzik. Idziks biggest mistake was the selection of Geno, he was falling like a rock on draft day because every other team knew he was going to be a bust. You are calling us out when in reality it's the QB position that has hurt this team the most this year. But I bet you won't man up and admit that in your judgment of Idzik, all i read from you is that the jets need more weapons. Now it's your turn, to man up and put the blame where it belongs with Idzik, the selection of smith as our QB. I'll await for the red flag on my alerts
