http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/live/NFL_20061210_IND@JAC 9 carries, 131 yards, 1 TD for Fred Taylor 6 carries, 115 yards, 2 TDs for Maurice Jones-Drew This is pathetic.
Jacksonville should just start running out of the wishbone with Garrard. No need to throw in this game.
The Colts might be the most overrated team in NFL History, once again they are going to be one and done in the playoffs.
You do have to wonder how long they're going to let this go on - unless Indy turns it around this year, it's pretty obvious that the appraoch they're taking just doesn't work.
Trade Dungy for Belicheck, Shanahan, Holmgren, Reid, or any other of the host of talented coaches in the NFL and the Colts could've had one of the great dynasties in NFL history. Dungy squandered his chance to win with a great Tampa Bay team (thankfully for Brooks, Sapp and co. Jon Gruden got them a title before they were totally finished) and he's done the same thing in Indy. Hell, even with Herm Edwards and Paul Hackett running 3rd and 10 draw plays the Colts would've one at least 1 Super Bowl
Dungy really is killing that team. How many years has he had to fix the defense? 4-6 at least and they are just getting worse. The offense has been playing poorly the last few weeks, but in that game vs. Jacksonville, they never stood a chance. Dungy will have one of the best win percentages without a SB appearance.
Overshadowed by the horrible D is the fact that the Colts O sucks too. 12 possessions 6 punts 3 turnovers 17 points If you spend all your money on the offensive side of the ball, you'd better play like it.
Drew and Taylor shredded them, and then Pearman came in in the 4th quarter to grind clock and they couldn't even stop him. They knew it was run, run, run the ball... Indy needs Bob Sanders back, but even Sanders isn't going to turn the D into an even decent defense.
