First thing I'm looking to do is trade back. Re-coup some of the picks we traded away. Assuming we cant find a trading partner, I'm looking at Beasley.
I am cosigning up for your plan. I think today it's White. But tomorrow I may think about getting Dorsett in round 2 or Rashad Greene in round 3, so I'd pass on White and take Beasely. By the weekend I may convince myself the Scherff is the pick. But probably not. Please trade up and get MM. _
That's what I thought, but thought I should ask in case you were offering to cosign a loan for me. I'll definitely cosign on trading up for MM.
For me this works out great as White is one of the top players I want and isn't in the same class as Beasley, Dupree, Perriman,etc... The worst case scenario for me would be... (Order doesn't matter) 1.Winston 2. Mariota 3. Cooper 4. White 5. Fowler This would leave the only top prospect left as Williams and we do not need him at all. He wouldn't be a good fit whatsoever. If we couldn't trade down we'd be left with Beasley I guess.
I agree, I have a couple of friends who are Gator fans who feel the same way. I ran it by them about Fowler being called the best "all around" rusher when it comes to the run and also coverage and both were sort of shocked that anybody would feel that way because they weren't impressed with his run stop our his coverage. Then again they are fans and fans can be wrong about their players but I was surprised to hear it from them because they are pretty smart people
No trade down that will kick Jets out of first round this year please. I will be at Metlife for draft party first time in my life. I want Jets to pick someone so I enjoy the party fullest. Worst case scenario, Jets trades down and don't make any pick Day 1
That would require multiple trades unless someone is giving us their first for the next 3 years. We would have to trade down 3 or 4 times to be removed from the first completely. You should be safe.

Im really not on the Fowler hype. I think he's ok. I don't think he's top ten talent. I could be wrong.
That's pretty much my worst case scenario as well. I'd probably go with Beasley if trading down isn't an option.
If I'm Mac my board is: 1). Winston 2). Mariota 3). Cooper 4). White 5). Fowler If those 5 players are gone (typical Jets luck) I'm trading back.
