    FA Signings:

With the cuts and no big stars added this seems to be financially viable. I picked up some role players to fill perceived holes. I think Bodden can come back big-time, Leonhard has a connection and plays well for Ryan. Fttxpatrick looked good replacing Palmer. Watson might have some more potential brought out from Ryan. Lechler is an awesome punter and after getting hit in the face by Sands he will for sure be gone. We will rely on great field position this upcoming season. Willis is good depth and has starting experience, I would feel good having him as our 6th lineman.

    - Jim Leonhard S
    - Ryan Fitzpatrick QB
    - Leigh Bodden CB
    - Gabe Watson NT
    - Shane Lechler P
    - Ray Willis G/RT

    Offseason resignings:
    - Eric Barton ILB - My favourite current Jet and leader of the defense, we will need his intensity to build off
    - Wallace Wright WR/ST - Awesome special teamer, but not much on the reciever side, close call but he is good at what he does
    - Tony Richardson FB - Wants to come back and he is still great although old
    - CJ Mosley DL - Great filling in as a backup, can make plays for the few snaps he is in
    - Abram Elam S -Stump dumb, but assbackwardly makes big plays, I like him better than Smith

    Cuts:
    - Brett Favre QB - Go away with your 13 Million cap number
    - David Barrett CB - Way too much salary for a 5 CB or 3rd string safety
    - David Bowens MLB - Makes me cry when watching him awkwardly run after TEs
    - Eric Smith S - Useless, doesn’t bring potential or skill to the table
    - Reggie Hodges - Better punters out there

    Draft:

I would like to trade down and hope for 2 2nd rounders and 2 third rounders but that is not predictable so here is what I would do with what we have:

    1. Tyson Jackson DE: Number 1 ranked 3-4 End prospect in the upcoming draft. Although he did not have an overly impressive college career he could make the jump to the NFL and become our Ty Warren

    OR Scenario B
    1. Jeremy MaclinWR : Number 2 receiver in the draft, gives a big target, good hands and speed. I slight upgrade value wise from Nicks in the second round of the previous draft.

    2. Hakeem Nicks WR: WR that looks to be in the mould of Anquan Boldin, exceptional hands, decent speed, very physical, shows great ability working in space, especially against mismatched corners

    OR Scenario B
    2. Ron Brace NT/DE: Now this is where it gets interesting as we can look at the Ravens current D and see Ngata anchoring the D-line from the end position. Brace could do that here and fit well into Ryan’s defence. I love this idea although I do like Nicks better than Maclin, for the value they would bring in their respective draft positions

    3. Macho Harris CB: Looks to me like this season version of Brandon Flowers, He has bravado and brings an energy to the field that Rex Ryan loves. Straight line speed will drop him in ranking. I may have him ranked a bit later than when he will go, but in the 3rd I would hope that we make a move for him.

    4. Worrell Williams or Jason Williams MLB: I have seen Worrell ranked as low as 5-6 and as high as the 3rd round, I like him in coverage and he has the size and speed to work in rotation in the middle or play on the strong side. I guarantee he will be gone by the 5th or 6th, but 4th just might happen, there where some guys last year who slipped a few rounds past where they were supposed to go. Jason Williams of Western Illinois is a small school guy but looks like a playmaker, has coverage ability and was a leader on his defence. He would be a great addition in the 4th and shows fire and tenacity.

    5. Xavier Fulton LT: Backup LT or RT, great athleticism and power combination. Could eventual push at both tackle positions, if development goes well. We need depth badly in both quantity and quality

    6. Tom Brandstater QB- 6th round is where I think he will go, has the size and measurable, plays in a conservative offence, so never really got to let lose. Is said to have a very good release with a tight spiral, and is very durable. Decent mobility, calm and has good leadership. Could be a sleeper

    7. Jamarca Sanford SS: Underrated secondary was captained by Sanford, he is the SEC leader in tackles. Something we had loads of trouble with this year. I am willing to bet he cannot be much worse than Elam or Smith, at least this guy has potential and ability to be a team player and leader.

nice job although i personally wouldnt take any mlb in the draft considering we already have so many and i believe gholston will only get better.jackson is a reach at 1st round id expect to see one of the following unsurprisingly available-sanchez,jenkins,maybin,maclin,everette brown,or orakpo..i can almost guarantee one of these makes it to pick 17 and id be haapy with any one

Really don't like the Jackson pick and there's a very slim chance that Macho is there in the 3rd. He'll need to really dissapoint in the 40 to go past the 2nd.

Nicks would be awesome in the 2nd though.

Yeh thats the thing, I don't like Jackson much either, I like Nicks alot, but the option B, Maclin/Brace value is quite nice. Of the guys you listed I only really see Maybin, Sanchez and Maclin being available. Jenkins, Brown and Orakpo are usually gone by pick 9. But you could be right, draft day is still along ways away and stranger things have happened.

So far I am feeling pretty good, We are looking at Fitzpatrick, we cut Bowens and Barrett, Favre is done

I know Lechler is not happening and I doubt Watson

I will now be sick if we draft Jackson in the first, so hopefully that I am wrong in that aspect, some say Macho can't play man, but i think he would be good in press coerage so I wouldn't count him out

    1. Fresno's offense is not conservative. Yes, they run the ball a lot, but they take a lot of shots down field. Brandstater was never able to let lose because he played under 3 OCs in 4 years. He was never able to stay in the same offense. He played in mostly spread offenses throughout his career.

    2. He has an awkward release - almost sidearm. He does have a very strong arm though, and he's fairly accurate.

    3. Brandstater does have decent mobility for a guy his size. He's not very durable - he often stays on the ground for a while after taking a shot and leaves the field about every other game with some sort of minor injury.

    4. He's not calm at all - he often leaves the pocket before he needs to. He forces a lot of balls back into the middle of the field.

    5. His leadership is questionable. After throwing interceptions, it seemed like he would blame his offensive line, even if he had time to throw.

(I like some of your picks, not the Jackson pick though -- Worrell Williams and Hakeem Nicks are my favorite choices.)

Good to know about Brandstater, what do you think about him for late round value, comparing to someone like Bohmar int he 2nd or even Freeman in the first, is Brandstater even worth looking at as a future prospect, or do we have something more in Ainge.

I don't like the Jackson pick either, in my next mock he won't be around, after all I have read he looks to be another Kenyon Coleman, not the impact player i would expect in the first round.

Nicks and Williams would have me going crazy on draft day, I am also a big fan of Brace and Harris, with those four and a pan out as I predict it would be a great day.
