Assuming the NYJ keep their #4 pick and you are the GM, please post what player and why you would draft him....

I chose D'Brick because I feel the Jets will handle their QB need via trade. Success on offense starts w/ the line, and D'Brick is the best O-line prospect in years. Plus, given his age and barring injury, he will give us several years of dominance like Mawae has.

3-0 for OT. A lot of love for D'Brickshaw.

If we stay at 4 I don't think there is any question we would pick D'Brick. So this thread isn't very interesting.

I think it's very possible that the Texans take D'Brick #1. Their new head coach has a Shanahan-like mindset, so he knows Dominick Davis will be successful in his offense. The Texans have the weakest O-line in the league (just ask David Carr), and if I'm their GM D'Brick is a no-brainer.

Reggie Bush is a no brainer. I don't care what team it is because he can do so many things. He isn't just a RB. He is also a WR, PR and KR. I would be shocked if they took D'Brick.

I would vote for a trade down and select a QB...Jay "Cut 'em up" Cutler

I was torn (poor choice of words considering Chad) between a QB or RB. If we cut Chad then I want a good QB; either Cutler or Young. Assuming we are opting for some kind of season that involves Chad trying to return then I absolutely want a game changing RB; Williams or White will be just fine - I have trained myself not to dream about bush.

If the Texans want DBrick, they would trade down to a spot where they can snag him and accumulate picks. I doubt if they would just stay there at 1 and select him.

Correct...Either way Bush still makes the most sense. Its a very deep OL class and they can get 2 or 3 guys in rounds 2-5 and be fine.

the jets are not going to pick the brick, I think it will be a QB because they think that the season was lost because of the injuries to penny and fiedler, and they are going to let fiedler go, and now the penny pay cut for about $8M, they are expecting that penny will not be our #1 QB anymore at 29 and a bad shoulder, so I guess it will be a QB, and if it is not a QB in the draft they will bring someone from San Diego

Wrong. and wrong. I don't see them tying up QB money right now with a prospect who may or may not be starting in 2 or 3 years. I think Mangini will build up the OL/DL before he does anything. And I don't see either of the 2 QB's leaving San Diego. Brees will sign long term and they'll keep Rivers around just in case, especially since they've already paid all the upfront cash.

If they stay at #4? My guess would be they draft whatever QB is there (assuming Bush is off the board). My next guess is AJ Hawk - just a gut instinct.

I presonally hope they trade down 3-4 spots and take the NT (forgot his name but he looks good). I think the OL can be addressed in rounds 2-4 easily......

I voted for deangelo williams, i was looking for his blocking ability and he is an everydown back..he can block also.

OT well we need to sign a veteran to protect our QB not a rookie, i like ashworth, mangini knows this man too.

All this hype a couple of years ago with robert gallery and he really isnt dominant hes just good...dont want a guy to fall in that category..a vet is the way to go would be better suited for our team.

    D'BRiCKAshAW Ferguson!

Unless they trade down...But if they stay put at 4...I do not want Cutler or Young at #4, wouldn't mind trading down to the 9-12 range to see if Cutler would be there, but give me the Brick.

QB may not be exactly where they want to go, but if they are looking ahead to next year when the talent pool of QB's is likely to not be as strong as this year, it may not be a totally bad idea to bite the bullet and get a good one this year.

I could answer this question better after the first three picks are made.

If Managini is true to the Parcells/BB school of drafting, then an offensive lineman in the first round is a no-no. That doesn't mean he won't do it, but I wouldn't bet that he would take Brick, that's for sure.
