...how do we handle his playing time when Calvin Pace gets back? Do we find ways to keep them both on the field at the same time? It would be a shame to "demote" Taylor with how he's been playing, but you also HAVE to start Pace.

Something about a Pace/Taylor combo on the field makes my pants moist.

They'll definitely limit Taylor's PT on run downs to make him more effective for pass rushing. But the first week or 2 when Pace gets back, they might split time to work Pace back in.

Play them one at a time. Keep them fresh. JT looked pretty gassed at the end of the game.

Can never have enough fresh pass rushers around.

They will split the time to get Pace back in the groove and start limiting JT in future games. There will be plenty of times in obvious passing down situations where both will be on the field.

However, the idea is to keep JT fresh towards the end of games and keep them both fresh towards the end of the season.

There's nothing to worry about. No one is going to cry because they had less snaps".

The ultimate goal is SB win. If JCo could have 1 catch for 1 yard all year and he is pulling people away from BE & Holmes, he would do it.

No doubt, I don't mean we need to prevent whining and crying because I don't see either of them doing that. I meant what gives us the best product ON THE FIELD. I'd love to see JT and Pace out there on 3rd and longs but I guess that's a dead giveaway that they are blitzing.

In pass rushing situations I can see the Jets utilizing a hybrid front 7 with Harris, Scott, Pace, Taylor, Thomas, Pouha, and Ellis... I think this formation will be fairly common.

The more people you can rotate in and out, the better. That's why I couldn't be more thrilled to see LT doing so well, Greene with fresh legs late in the year again is a blessing.

thomas always in on running downs, taylor takes his place in pass rushing situations and to give pace and thomas a breather when they need it.

On clear passing downs Ellis usually moves inside to tackle, and Pouha comes out. We could see a lot of Ellis, Gholston, Pace, and Taylor as 4 down lineman and rushing, with Thomas, Scott, and Harris in there as well.

Bryan Thomas on 1st and 2nd down. Jason Taylor on 3rd down and sure passing downs. Once Pace gets back to 100% he has to be on the field every down.

Yep.. and I wouldn't be surprised to see Thomas play as a down lineman on 3rd downs as well. The Jets have a lot of versatile players up in the front 7

Yeah JT is getting old, keeping him fresh will be a good thing. On obvious passing downs they can both be out their though.

JT will get rest throughout the games hopefully. Notice how the pass rush kinda crapped out during the game last night? That should get eliminated with Pace helping keep Taylor fresh. I am confident we will see 3rd and longs with both of them coming off the edges.

I've been really impressed with Taylor so far. Two sacks in three games without Pace is more than I expected. His production should double once Pace gets back.
