This is true, his stats have suffered because of a new role after Thomas' injury.

Calvin gets a pass because we ran out of fingers to point.

Pace was a monster player in AZ. He then gets caught HGHing and suddenly his production declines.

On the other hand, his head circumference and jawline did expand. Don't believe me? Take a look at some pictures of him without a helmet.

Pace was a massive disappointment in Arizona until his contract year.

People who complain about Pace not getting more sacks don't realize what he does on this defense.. he doesn't just rush the passer, Rex uses him to do a little bit of everything.

He's been having a very good season and it's pretty much gone under the radar because with his big contract came big expectations for big stats. Expecting him to be a pass rush demon is gonna leave you disappointed because it's just not what he is.

the jets need to spy the giants draft board for any OLB/DE's. They seem to find a Jean-Paul / Tuck / Umeniyura(sp?) / Strahan with much success.

He's a solid linebacker who plays the run pretty good and isn't bad in coverage but he's not a PR specialist, He's average at best.

good point, our lb's are slow.

  11. Pace is a very solid all around linebacker. He isn't elite in anyone category but does most things including pass rush at an above average level. However, he does struggle with consistency.

I don't think Pace is anything special...and no 1 else really gets to the QB so he gets all the attention.

    soh_vet i agree lol!

he doesn't get a free pass as much as I'm concerned, this guy is running with cement shoes, he is constantly in slow motion and I can't wait for the day he doesn't wear green.

Because all in all he's a solid player. Keep in mind teams don't really give a fuck about Westerman & Maybin and concentrate on him...

one thing is for certain we need to add some youth and speed to our line backing corp, add a safety. This stuff of having to go small is biting us and the sad part is, or the bright spot depending on how you look at it, is that if it weren't for good play by the D-Line when we had our small package out there (Boy that sounds bad) they would have gouged us even worse on the ground.

Pace has been pretty good this season from what I've seen. He's only a complementary pass rusher to a true #1 guy, but he does everything else very well.

I think he has been fine this year, I think he gets judged a little ufairly b/c he signed the big contract and peopel think he should be a top pass rusher. he never was a great pass rusher and never will be. he's an ok pass rusher who will get about 8 sacks a year if healthy. I didn't notice him the other night(maybe that is a bad thing?) but prior to this week I thought he was playing pretty well.
