http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2015/11/jets_activate_dee_milliner_place_willie_colon_on_i.html shit, Colon was actually having a decent year at RG. Need Winters to step up huge. And heres hoping Dee can play like the first rounder he is, for as long as he's healthy. *Knock on wood*
Gutsy move by the Jets. If Winters steps up it was a very good one. If not, well Colon has been in and out of the lineup already and at 32 was not likely to be able to finish the season anyway.
I am hoping that Winters getting full time practice reps from here on out with the first unit will produce an improvement for the rest of the season. We also may need to get a little more creative in the run game......Jet Sweeps, fake end arounds, etc. to open up some holes.
With all these injuries and what seems like a ton ... I looked up IR for the entire NFL and surprisingly the Jets are right in the middle of the pack...its part of the game all teams deal with it
The Jets couldn't get anything going in the run game with Colon and Mangold going in and out of the lineup. At least now they have 4+ guys they know will be there from week to week and they can practice together and get some cohesion.
It seems worse cause all our injuries are happening NOW. Like the Bills earlier in the season, but now they're getting healthy (Harvin excepted) just in time for us, whoopee
Well, I am just hoping that Dee can show something, anything, to justify having been a top 10 pick. Hoping fake K-Dub continues to out perform Cro...
Maybe they look to try him at the other safety spot if Pryor is still out? It's clear that there's pretty much open auditions at the spot when Pryor is not healthy.
Well mangold started last week and did not finish the game but gave way to Wesley, and we all know how that went for the running game, there is no guarantee that he finishes this game also. The only positive I see from the jets activating Dee is how well he plays in zone, if TB uses a little more zone, especially with the the way Maulidng has been stepping up as a pass rusher, I can see the secondary having a good game.
Watched the Bears/Chargers game moday night. A lot of good comments about Slauson and Ducuass on the Bears O-Line. I was sorry to see Slauson go, Ducauss not so much, but he did pretty good.
Hope Mangold can hold in there for at least the first half with a heavy dose of Ivory. After the half, Bowles can change things up to a passing game with Mangold on the pine.
