Not sure if this is the right forum but just wanted to get some opinions on this. The dude has been brutal in the playoffs and looks to be holding back a pretty talented team.

I wonder if they would be interested our Mr. Butt-fumble?

You really need to get off the idea that we're going to get some value out of Sanchez. Everyone in the league knows we're cutting him and no one is trading shit for him. Stop with the nonsense.

    heh, that'd be awesome.

the old lines about our dear Nacho is that he's decent if the talent around him is high (surprise, surprise) and can win in playoff games. if the bengals believe that enough and are actually willing to give something up to get him in his current deal (Or in a restructured version) then who are we to argue?

just do it by whatever date his money from NY is due, ask for a third and maybe include a conditional pick like the Revis deal, if he's on roster in 2015 we get a second or something like that.

doubt this happens but it may be ideal.

    Sanchez hate
    Makes haste
    Which leads to waste
    for posts.

At what point in this thread did I mention getting value for Sanchez or trade? Just trying to talk some football. It's not nonsense to wonder if they would be looking to bring in a QB to compete. It's also not nonsense to think that QB could be Sanchez since there is a high probability he can get released. The guy did QB a team that beat them in a home playoff game.

Side note: I wanted to respond go f*ck yourself, but thought better of it. You Sanchez hate dudes need to relax. Everyone know you hate him and you think he sucks; we got it.

yup, thats the rub, why get him in a contract valued at about 40 million over 3 years when you can pick him up for chump change... unless one can spread that money out over a few years banking on the the concept that he could be a low risk steal at a certain price.

nah, not happening. we'll probably just cut 'em.

Some team will pick him up when we cut him. Whether he will be competing for a starting job or not is the question.

ah, I see you never DID imply that he would picked up in a trade per say just that they might consider him at all...

Ugh...RIF (Reading Is Fundamental). Just curious to know if anyone thought the Bengals would a) be thinking about bringing in another QB and b) would they be interested in Sanchez. No one is thinking about a trade.

You could say that the Bengals are in the market for a backup QB, but Andy Dalton has put up some pretty good regular season numbers. He was awful today, but, that'll likely fall on the head coach as well, who hasn't won a playoff game in 11 years.

I think we'll release Sanchez, he'll go to another team as a FA, and that will be that.

It is, however, amazing to think of all of the QBs out there that are "Franchise QBs" like Matt Ryan, Phillip Rivers, etc., many have struggled mightily in the playoffs. Throw in Andy Dalton & Matt Schaub- who has beaten Andy Dalton but no one else iirc.

Meanwhile, Buttfumble is 4-2 all time in 6 ROAD playoff games, have never played one at home.

Anyway, Sanchez will be gone, and we'll get nothing for him. It's time for both to move on, it's an addition by subtraction at this point.

You should have just told me to fuck myself instead of taking the pussy way out like you did.

If this thread isn't about the Bengals potentially trading for our "Mr. Butt fumble" then why the fuck would you put it in the Jets forum

    EDIT

Let me know what wording you need in order to make it clear and I'll edit the OP.

Hence the opening sentence highlighted in bold:
It's really not my fault you have a reading comprehension problem.

I wonder if they'd be interested in Mr.Buttfumble once he hits free agency?

otherwise it implies trade, or can misread as such anyway. edit: the fact that i recall a thread where you were looking for a way to trade him gives back context to this idea as well. thus confusion. forums are weird...

You started a thread in the Jets forum asking if the Bengals might be interested in Sanchez. What the fuck are people supposed to think? Are Jets fans supposed to give a fuck if they cut Sanchez and he goes to the Bengals? No, but we sure would be interested if they wanted to trade for him.

And I actually was incorrectly thinking you started the thread in the draft forum about Sanchez's draft day trade value, so that was my fault.

I can certainly see how some can infer that. But I find it curious that someone would respond/attack something that was NOT written while completely ignoring what was. I specifically wrote that I wanted to get thoughts on, would the Bengals be in the QB market and secondarily could they possibly look at Sanchez. The method by which they would acquire Sanchez (trade or FA) wasn't a concern so I did not specify.

They should be in the market. Dalton is decent but can be upgraded.

He's still way better then Sanchez though. They'll have no interest in Mark for anything other then being a backup QB.

With Cutler off the market upgrading is going to be tough. Up to this point, Dalton has been the unquestioned starter with no competition. I'm wondering if that changes now. At the end of the day he is still just a 2nd round draft pick not a guy that they've invested a lot on.

If your position is that Sanchez will be released and the Bengals could bring him in to compete, that has zero to do with the jets so why is a thread about what the bengals may do about their QB in the jets forum and not the nfl forum? This is about the bengals, not the jets.
