There are some folks that jokes just aren't funny. WSmith is one of them. Slapping Rock instead of drilling him with a straight on punch I would imagine was Smith's effort at self restraint. This was handled wrong by Smith and I'm not sure why they allowed him to come back on the stage and accept the award. Perhaps Tyler Perry should have accepted for Smith after he should have been escorted out of the venue. If you're gonna come at somebody like that, do it off camera, at the after party, just not on prime time TV. Black Male image just took another hit.

What exactly was Chris Rock supposed to do in that situation? Swing back and look like an even bigger asshole than Will Smith? That was total weak sauce if you ask me. Smith should have handled it off camera, after the event when Rock could have defended himself. That was like punching a guy that was being held by two dudes. Rock handles it perfectly. He took it like a champ and continued with his presentation. Smith came off like a fucking tool. And the sad part is that his wife had already publicly embarrassed him with her talk about her affair with August Alsina. Smith looks like total clown shoes.
