It stinks that Brian never really got a great QB to work with here. The guy was a tireless worker, and was a very skilled play caller--Remember that QB bootleg he called in the regular season vs the Steelers.... BRILLIANT! I was a big fan of his and Mangini back in 2006 with Pennington running the show as well Hopefully Sparano can incorporate some of the things that worked from Schotty's offense. I really didn't like the Miami offense, and Sparano had Chad Henne to work with who was decent.
Yea, but that was because of Oline problems if you ask me. We were 12th in total offense in 2010 which is decent. Too bad Wayne Hunter is still on the team. D'Brick sucked last year as well
This dopey thread belongs in the garbage dump with the OPs other masterpiece calling for the rehiring of Eric Mangini. What's next ?? Bring back Kotite ????? Sent from my SGH-T679 using Tapatalk 2
Hey Depressed Schottenheimer, shouldn't you start focusing on making the Rams offense too complicated?
Mike Francesca of WFAN is also a big Mangini fan, because he worked with Bills Parcells in the 80s with the Giants and Mangini comes from the Parcells family.

That play was begging for a pick-6 to go the other way. The upside was that the guy who caught the ball might have had the opportunity to try to get the 2 toughest yards of his life for a first down. What an asinine play-caller Schotty was at times. I won't even go into the question of why Jets receivers were running into each other last season so often.
He threw to the guy he had a lane to throw too. People were knocking the ball down at the line all season because Slauson was hurting so bad he couldn't get the opponent's arms down and Wayne Hunter was using his arms to get back up off the ground after he'd been tossed again. BTW, that was a 3-man rush and who was isolated on his rusher? Hunter. The Jet's offense last year was just ridiculously poorly managed and that goes on Schotty. Square on his forehead.
Very good article there. I hated the way Schotty was with playing to strengths and weaknesses. Too much trickery. There's a reason most teams don't run the ball every 3rd and long. When he got LT hurt with a power run up the middle in garbage time I wanted to drive over to Jets stadium and snipe his ass.
