He was in the backfield on multiple plays today. Wasn't soloing plays, but I saw him chasing Cutler into other defenders more than once. Not denying his play has really slipped overall, and he's still going to need to step up a lot this season to not get cut.
Bass, Ealy with great games. Lee was bad again, Burris needs to be used strictly in a zone defense, he struggles with man coverage. Wilkerson didn't dominate but allowed LB to make plays, seriously guys he contributed to a very good performance by the d line.
Wilkerson just looks slow since his injury. He has no burst anymore and just tries to bull rush everyone.
Who is Bass? I looked at the roster and see a "David Bass." Is that the guy that Seattle cut this week that the Jets signed? Also, who is Terrence Brooks and when did we sign him? I see that he had two picks today. Never heard of him.
Well, we will never be able to trade him, he is as poisonous as Richardson was last year so we can cut him, absorb the 3+M hit and let him go play somewhere else.
Not sure, but Brooks was all over the field. Good in coverage and drilled Landry from behind causing inc. Imo the only really weak player on D all game was Burris at the end of the game. It was as good a defensive performance that I have seen from this team in a long time...
There was one play were Cutler broke the pocket and Wilk seemed like he was trying to chase him down half speed..he also looks fat as fuck. lol
Yeah it was a weak looking effort. He gave up on the play. I'm not sure if I really believe all this hype about him continuing to work hard despite not producing. He looked pretty lackluster on that play in terms of effort. Maybe we just cut our losses and move him to nose tackle and let him be a fat fuck occupying blockers.
He's not a NT, and the whole defense played better as a whole, including Lee. Interesting to see Lee play more as a OLB on occassion in a zone concept...he looked better there.
