I'm a rutgers graduate. It might be homer-ish of me, but why don't we take a look at bringing in Jeremy Ito to kick instead of Feeley? He is terrible. Ito can at least hit a 40 yard FG.
I have a friend who is 5'8 and can kick FGs and run very fast... Maybe we can try him out too. That way if the snap if fucked up, hand it to him - he can run it in.
Can he punt the ball too because Ben Graham is useless, Seriously I'm willing to go back to Nuge when he's healthy but the stiff from down under should go back where he came from. He sucked last year and should have been replaced at training camp.
True, but Ito used the "rugby" style punt, where it gets very little hang time. I think NFL teams would eat that kind of style up.
We need to do something. I wouldn't be against giving Ito a shot if Nugent is out a while. I'd give Feeley one more game and if he fucks up cut him.
Not yet, but I thought the ball looked to be at too much of an angle when I saw the replay. I'd like to get a closer look at is when a torrent is up.
We should look at him among others this week. Someone has to be able to consistently kick 20-40 yard FG's for hundreds of thousands of dollars a year.
It was down the opposite end from me, I was just looking at the goal posts waiting for the ball to go through. Favre had run the ball to the 9 and even slid down dead center of the field. It was basically an extra point.
YES I totally agree on bringing in the Judge. You have to admit it isn't too often you see a kicker with some swagger (pointing to the skycam) and a nickname. Considering kicking is a such a headgame I see the swagger as VERY meaningful.
Can he really? Feely has never hit a 40 yarder? I made a 30 yarder once, maybe I should kick for the Jets. You're a university grad, you should be a little more logical.
WTF man? Ito was a highly regarded college kicker. Its not like he is some bum who has never kicked. He was probably the best college kicker last year.
Well, there's a reason Feely got cut by 2 teams already this season. We should bring in some of these recent college grads for a look anyway. It cannot hurt.
I thought the same thing , he had the ball at a severe angle to the right and the kick went right, by the way how many snaps did he screw up last year...get rid of him!
i'm highly doubtful that jeremy ito was a highly regarded kicker. if i remember clearly, he had a very sub par senior season 4-of-10 field goals from 40 yards out in 2007 which was his senior season
